World Bee Day! 🐝🐝

The children have had such a fab time today celebrating and learning about the importance of bees today.

We have been learning about the different coloured pollen flowers produce, the life cycle of the Honey bee and even rolling their own wax candles to take home.

Thanks to our lovely Annie for all these fun activities. She also popped on her on bee suit which the children found very exciting!

WILD FLOWER COLLAGE

Engaging in collage art with wild flowers offers preschool children a rich learning experience. They develop fine motor skills as they handle and arrange delicate flower pieces, enhancing their dexterity and hand-eye coordination. The activity stimulates creativity and self-expression, allowing children to explore colors, shapes, and textures in a natural context. It also introduces basic scientific concepts, such as plant anatomy and the diversity of local flora, fostering a sense of curiosity about the natural world. Additionally, children learn to plan and make decisions as they design their collages, building their cognitive and problem-solving abilities.

Lots of Earth day activities have been going on at Cvp this week. The children have been practising their sorting skills with this recycling challenge.
