We recently came across an interesting article from Netmums about the things parents should look out for when choosing a nursery — and it reminded us why we do our show arounds during our normal opening hours.

We don't want to show you a perfectly prepared nursery when the children aren't here…

We want you to see the real Daisy Chains! 💜

When you visit, you can see our children playing, exploring, learning and having fun. You can meet our team, see how we interact with the children, experience the atmosphere and get a genuine feel for our nursery.

We also encourage parents to ask questions — anything you want to know, we're happy to chat about.

Our little explorer has been having so much fun investigating our wooden ring stand!

Every twist, lift and spin helps to build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration and problem-solving skills.

It's amazing how the simplest resources can spark the biggest learning adventures! 💜

"Oh help! Oh no! It's a Gruffalo!" 🌲🦉🦊🐍

Our little storytellers had a wonderful time bringing The Gruffalo to life! After Hannah read the much-loved story together, the children used homemade play dough and a variety of materials to create their very own Gruffalo's.

There was lots of imagination, creativity, and fantastic storytelling as the children explored different textures, shapes, and natural materials.

Our garden is full of exciting places to crawl, hide, climb and giggle! Every little adventure helps build confidence, coordination and lots of happy memories along the way.

We think this smile says it all 💜

Tomorrow will be my final day at Daisy Chains Day Nursery after 21 incredible years.

It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. Owning Daisy Chains has truly been one of the greatest privileges of my life. To have played a small part in the lives of so many wonderful children, watching them learn, grow and flourish, has been an honour that I will always treasure.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know so many amazing families, and I’ve also made lifelong friends along the way. Thank you to every child, parent, member of staff and supporter who has been part of this journey. You have all helped make Daisy Chains the special place it is today.

Although I’m saying goodbye, I do so knowing that Daisy Chains is in the safest of hands. Kelly Parry knows the nursery inside and out, shares the same passion and values, and I have every confidence that she will continue to make Daisy Chains an incredible place for children and families. I wish Kelly every success and all the luck in the world as she begins this exciting new chapter.

As for me, I’m stepping into a brand new career and looking forward to embracing new challenges and opportunities. While it’s bittersweet to leave somewhere that has been such a huge part of my life, I’m excited to see what the future holds.

Finally, I want to say a very special thank you to my mum. None of this would have been possible without you lending me the money to buy the business all those years ago. Your belief in me changed my life, and I will always be grateful.

Thank you, Daisy Chains. Thank you for 21 unforgettable years, the memories, the laughter, the friendships, and for allowing me to be part of so many children’s early years. I will always carry a piece of Daisy Chains with me. 💜
