After hearing about Oliver Steeper on the news recently and the Lifevac device that could possibly have saved his live we decided to buy the Lifevac for the nursery.
All Little Rascals staff are trained in First Aid and also in the use of the Lifevac.
We wanted to share this link with you to make more people aware of the device.

The Oliver Steeper Foundation Fundraising for life saving anti-choking devices to be placed into early years settings nationwide.

It’s not something people would immediately think of but with the unusually hot weather lately, it’s worth sharing. 2 years ago this baby suffered 2nd degree burns over 30% of his body from being accidentally sprayed with a garden hose and firefighters have issued a fresh warning recently.

Hoping to prevent this type of accident from happening again, the fire department warned: “A garden hose exposed to direct sunlight during summer can heat the water inside the hose (not flowing) to 130-140 degrees Fahrenheit which can cause burns especially to children & animals.
Let the water flow a few minutes to cool before spraying on people or animals"
