Give a child a box, and you give them a blank canvas for their imagination. 💭💛

The children have been busy planting a variety of herb plants and absolutely loved getting stuck in! 🪴👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

Planting and caring for herbs gives children the opportunity to learn about how plants grow, what they need to survive and where some of the food we eat comes from. 🌞💧🌱

It also provides lots of wonderful learning opportunities, including:
🌿 Developing fine motor skills through digging, planting and watering
🌱 Encouraging patience as they watch their plants grow
💚 Building confidence and responsibility by caring for something
👃 Exploring different scents and textures through sensory play
🐝 Learning about nature, insects and the importance of plants
🥗 Discovering how fresh herbs can be used in cooking and healthy meals

Most importantly, the children had lots of fun getting outdoors, getting their hands dirty and watching their little plants take root! 🌱😊

We can’t wait to watch our herbs grow and see how well our little gardeners care for them! 💚

Our little explorers had lots of fun bug hunting at holiday club! They searched high and low for creepy crawlies, discovered all sorts of fascinating insects and enjoyed getting up close with nature. 🐜🕷️🐞

It was a fantastic hands-on activity full of curiosity, teamwork and plenty of outdoor fun! 🌱💚

🌿🤎 Let Them Get Muddy! 🤎🌿

There’s something magical about children and mud. Give them a patch of earth, a little water and plenty of time and watch their imagination take over! 🥰

✨ Mud play helps children to:

👐 Explore different textures and sensations
🧠 Use their imagination and creative thinking
💪 Build strength, coordination and fine motor skills
💬 Develop communication and social skills through shared play

Mud gives children permission to PLAY without worrying about being perfect. 🌈

They can squish it, pour it, dig it, build with it, make pretend meals, create potions, make tracks and get completely covered in it! 😂🤎

Summer fun is officially in full swing! ☀️💦

Our second water slide of summer 2026 and, as expected, the children absolutely LOVED it! 😍

The giggles, the screams, the excitement… and those faces! 🥹💛

Our children have been getting their hands stuck into the soil and enjoying some gardening fun! 🪴🧤

Gardening is a wonderful way for children to learn, explore and connect with nature. 🌿

Through gardening, children can develop:
🌱 Fine motor skills – digging, planting and handling seeds
🪴 Patience and responsibility – caring for plants and watching them grow
🐝 An understanding of nature – discovering where food comes from and learning about insects and wildlife
🌻 Confidence and independence – taking ownership of their own little growing projects
💚 Wellbeing – spending time outdoors, getting active and enjoying the calming benefits of nature
👫 Teamwork – working together, sharing tools and helping each other

Most importantly, they’ve had lots of fun, plenty of fresh air and a few very muddy hands! 😄🌧️
