I had a great day training at Ruthin & Denbigh Gymnastic club on Sunday. It was interesting to adapt the First Aid to a slightly different setting.

I have had an excellent couple days training First Aid at Carbon247 in St Asaph. The creative writing session we used to help us remember the choking treatment was definitely a highlight!

π Stay Safe This Festive Season!π
The holiday season is a time for joy and celebration, but accidents can happen when we least expect them.
Here are some essential first aid tips to keep you and your loved ones safe this Christmas:
1. Kitchen Safety: Watch out for cuts and burns while preparing your holiday feast. Keep a first aid kit handy with bandages and remember, if you do burn yourself, 20mins under cold tap then wrap in cling film.
2. Decorating Dangers: Be cautious when hanging decorations. Use a stable ladder and have someone assist you to prevent falls.
3. Winter Woes: With icy conditions, slips and falls are more common. Ensure pathways are clear of ice and snow, and know how to treat sprains and fractures.
4. Fire Hazards: Keep candles, fireplaces, and lights in check. Note that if a burn/blister is bigger than your palm - seek medical attention.
5. Emergency Contacts: Have emergency numbers saved on your phone and know the location of the nearest hospital, especially if you are away from home.
Anything to add? Comment below and share these safety tips to your family and friends.π
Stay safe!
