🌟 Theory in Action at All About Kids Wales 🌟
You may often hear us say that children learn through play – but there is so much more happening behind the scenes than simply “playing”! 💛
Throughout every session, our team are constantly observing, listening and interacting with the children, looking for those little opportunities where we can extend their learning, build their confidence and help them develop new skills.
Our Theory in Action working board helps us link what we see every day to the early years theorists that influence the way we work, including Anna Ephgrave, Maria Montessori, Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky.
Whether we're helping a child solve a problem, encouraging them to try something independently, following an interest they've shown, supporting their communication or simply asking the right question at the right moment, we're always looking for those valuable teaching moments.
So while to the children it might just feel like they're having lots of fun and playing with their friends, our practitioners are busy observing, supporting and extending their learning along the way. 🌈
Because play is how children learn – and every little moment can become a learning opportunity. ❤️

📢 A little reminder to all parents
We completely understand that sometimes you may need to get in touch with us outside of our normal opening hours.
Over the weekend, if you need to contact us, please either message our All About Kids page or send us an email.
We kindly ask that parents do not contact members of staff through their personal Facebook/Messenger accounts. Weekends are our staff’s time off to spend with their own children, families and friends, and we feel it’s really important that everyone is able to enjoy that time away from work.
If there is something urgent that cannot wait until Monday, you can still reach us through the business page or email, and we will respond as soon as we can.
Thank you so much for understanding and respecting our staff’s personal time. ❤️
