We are a fun and friendly line dance class where we learn all sorts of dances - some old, some new, some easy, some more difficult. Why are we called The Rays - simple really, when I first started line dancing the class was run in a hall called The Rays Social Club. In Maidenhead, Berkshire where I used to live, there are a lot of buildings, areas and roads mentioning The Rays. The Ray family used

to run a mill in Maidenhead and lots of places were named after them - Ray Mill Island, Ray Mill Road etc. Some of us got t-shirts with The Rays on so the name stuck! We are now at Hope Community Care Hub every Tuesday afternoon.

Can’t wait till tomorrow - I’m going back to the World Dance Masters line dance event at Winter Gardens Blackpool ❤️

I’ve not been for a few years and I’m several stone lighter this time around - it was seeing this photo that made me carry on losing weight 🤪

I’ll be doing workshops with these amazing choreographers again. Heather Barton and Gary O'Reilly Line Dance (I’m the dancer who gave you the knitted cowboy mascot a few years ago).

As a Slimming World Consultant in I know to keep active you need to find an activity you love and I’m so glad I found line dancing 30 years ago ❤️
