Eight recitals in one month.
In 20 years of teaching, this had never happened before 😆
Why now?
Because this year I chose wellbeing over pressure.
Intimacy over big stages.
Smaller performances gave space to beginners, teenagers, adult students…
each group in the setting they actually needed.
And it was so beautiful 🥹
Parents and siblings singing and playing together.
Teachers supporting their students and truly connecting with families.
Those small, human moments that can easily get lost in a school of 300 students
(especially in a city like London).
We felt closer.
More grounded.
More like a real community.
These recitals were not just performances.
They were part of a deeper shift I’ve been nurturing inside Music Tree since July,
rethinking how we organise, how we communicate, how we care for children, families, students and teachers.
And today, at the end of this intense and meaningful term,
I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to our families for trusting us.
Thank you to our students for their courage and joy.
Thank you to our teachers for their dedication, care, and presence.
What we are building together matters.
I wish you all a peaceful holiday season, full of rest, music, connection, and time to simply be.
With gratitude,
Tiziana ✨🎄
Music Tree
Music education - Music therapy - Training centre for teachers - Recording studio, Islington London
It’s been a beautiful weekend of music at Music Tree,
running events and recitals for all our students.
From the youngest ones singing at the top of their lungs or playing their very first strings on the violin,
to the older ones composing their own songs or finally getting the chance to share their passion for music in front of an audience…
When I say community, I really mean it ❤️
Because for us, creating a community means opening spaces for everyone,
to learn music and make it part of their lives,
for their emotional wellbeing, their confidence,
and their growth as human beings.
Music is not just something you learn;
it’s something that carries you, shapes you, and connects you.
And now, as we look ahead, we’re excited to say that
bookings for the next term open on Wednesday 10th
and we have just a few spaces left.
We can’t wait to run another full Sunday of events next weekend, before taking a break for the holidays.
Our hearts (and ears!) are full already 🥹
Thanks for running such a great Music&Chat event for our adults students
And to Hannah and Robynne for your wonderful support!

Even though we’re one of those after-school club providers ourselves, we’re not afraid to talk about this — because we believe AWARENESS is key.
We’d rather have fewer classes with engaged children than full ones where kids are too exhausted to focus or enjoy learning.
⇢ Fewer clubs — but ones that truly fit your child’s weekly rhythm.
⇢ No need for 2 or 3 clubs in a row on Saturday mornings — just because they are available.
⇢ One instrument played well is worth more than three played without joy or depth.
When children have time to rest, to be bored, and to reconnect, their capacity to learn and desire to grow naturally increase.
If this resonates with you, don’t miss Beyond the Notes
➤ the 4-module course with psychologists and music therapists that we've decided to open for parents and teachers
➤ exploring how music can support children’s and students' psychological and emotional wellbeing
➤ and how you can communicate better with them.

This was such an amazing conversation 💛 I’m so happy we opened this topic today with Pedro , creating a real space for awareness and connection.
This is exactly the direction I want Music Tree to grow into — because in today’s world, where connection and communication are often missing, we need spaces like this more than ever.
✨ If you want to go deeper and join Pedro’s module (and the full program with the other incredible experts), simply comment BEYOND THE NOTES and I’ll send you all the details.
🎶 For the next 72 hours, you can join the full program at the special price of £49 (after that, the price will go up regularly).
👉 You could also join only Pedro’s module for £27 but honestly, you’d be missing out — the other experts are truly amazing too.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something that can transform the way we support our children and students through music, psychology, and communication.

We’ve all said (or thought) things like this.
But what’s really happening in these moments?
When we push our children or students to practice more, we’re often driven by frustration, expectations, or even fear that they’ll “waste” their chance.
But for the child, these words sound like pressure — not support. And pressure is the fastest way to kill motivation.
💡 Here’s where Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and music learning meet:
Instead of focusing on the behavior (not practicing), we learn to look for the need behind it.
👉 Is my child tired after school?
👉 Do they need connection before they can concentrate?
👉 Do they need more playful ways to approach the instrument?
Pedro Consorte — musician, facilitator of the method, and NVC practitioner — will join the team of expert in Beyond the Notes to show how empathy, presence, and clear communication can transform practice into a space of connection instead of conflict.
Practicing music is not just about discipline — it’s about building trust, listening, and helping our kids fall in love with music for life, moving between the highs and lows that are present in any learning experience.
✨ Join us for “Beyond the Notes - OCTOBER”, a series of FREE EVENTS to discover how music and psychology together can support your child’s emotional wellbeing.
We start this Thursday at 1.00pm with a FREE LIVE with Pedro from .musictree profile.

Supporting our children in their learning is a journey we walk every single day — with patience, understanding, and communication.
So often, we expect a “positive” response from our kids, or certain behaviors scare us so much that we don’t know how to handle them. Sometimes we end up waiting, hoping that things will magically fix themselves.
This is exactly one of the points Pedro will explore in his module of Beyond the Notes — the family course we will open in November.
But in the meantime, come meet Pedro! ✨
Join us this Thursday for a special Instagram Live, where he’ll share his experience as a musician, facilitator, and expert in Nonviolent Communication.

I fell into that trap too:
“Ah, this is perfect — my child is learning something while I finally have time to breathe and do my own things in peace.”
And honestly? I wish it worked that way. I wish there could be a safe moment in our day where leaving little ones in front of a screen wasn’t really a problem.
And to be clear: it’s not a problem if it’s short — 20 minutes, maybe half an hour depending on age… and not every day.
But research tells us the same story:
leaving children in front of a screen regularly does not help their brain grow, nor does it support healthy emotional development.
We don’t always notice it immediately.
The consequences show up later:
👩⚕️ Psychologists see it in 12–14 year olds struggling with anxiety and mood regulation.
🎶 Music teachers see it in lessons, when kids finally open up to us — sometimes as if we were the first adults they’ve really spoken to all week.
📚 University therapists see it too: young people finding it hard to connect face-to-face, because so much of their life has happened through a screen.
Especially here in the UK, children spend their days in big groups, with very little opportunity for real one-to-one connection with teachers. At home, parents do their best — but finding the time, the energy, the right way to connect isn’t always easy.
That’s why starting early matters.
That’s why we need to give children a passion for life — not just a passion for what lives inside an iPad.
I know these words aren’t easy to hear. They can feel uncomfortable. But more and more of us — educators, teachers, therapists — are saying them now. And I won’t stop.
✨ If you want to explore this topic in a safe, non-judgmental space, join me and a team of psychologists and musicians this November for Beyond the Notes.
It’s the first course for families where leading experts will connect the dots between your child’s psychological and emotional development, and what music can do to support them.
👉 What do you think — will you join us?

ADHD is not a monster - Free Masterclass
In this session, I share how I came to my own diagnosis—but more importantly, how you can use musical exercises to help children self-regulate and focus before their music lessons.
I explore the role of executive functions—the very skills children with ADHD often struggle with, but that even neurotypical kids can find challenging, especially after a long school day, too much screen time, or when they’re simply overwhelmed.
This is one of the most important lives I’ve ever done, and one I deeply care about. Why?
Because it raises awareness in a society that still thinks ADHD is “just about hyperactive boys,” when in reality it affects undiagnosed:
✨ adults,
✨ musicians and artists,
✨ educators,
✨ new mothers and women going through their hormonal changes
— people who every day face challenges in understanding or regulating parts of themselves.
This Masterclass it's for music teachers and educators, who want to learn how to start discovering how to support children (and adults) with ADHD—people with brains that work differently, but who also carry extraordinary intelligence and creative power.
In this live you’ll also find practical exercises to try with your own groups.
Let me know your thoughts!

Life in London is fast. Stress, deadlines, commuting, the endless to-do lists.
Your children’s wellbeing matters — but so does yours.
Music can be your pause button.
🎶 Reduce stress
🎶 Ease anxiety
🎶 Improve focus and mood
Joining a class — whether singing, piano, guitar, or a group ensemble — isn’t just about learning.
It’s about meeting new people, sharing joy, and remembering that you are more than just “mum” or “dad”.
At Music Tree, we welcome parents and adults into the same journey we’ve created for children:
💫 A space to breathe, to connect, to feel alive through music.
So, what if this term… you also chose music for yourself?
👉 Explore our individual and group classes, designed for adults who want to learn, relax, and rediscover themselves through music.

You may have noticed… my communication has changed.
I don’t just talk about music lessons anymore.
(Well is, I never really did.)
Now my focus is even clearer:
✨ Music as a tool for child development
✨ Music for the wellbeing of teenagers and adults too
I’m so excited to share this with the Music Tree community, which is growing and evolving every day. 🌱
Parents are becoming more and more involved in their children’s growth…
and they see how powerful our lessons can be in their lives.
But it’s not enough.
Because our society is dysfunctional.
And children — teenagers especially — need real support.
Parents need support too. 💛
Parenting today is harder than ever.
After months of reflection and brainstorming…
I found the answer within myself.
🌟 And this is how Beyond the Notes was born.
A 4-module course for parents, dedicated to exploring and sharing experiences around children’s psychological and emotional wellbeing — through music.
