A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our Wymsies on this wonderful journey! 💜✨

First and foremost, to our amazing parents — thank you for the lifts, the encouragement, the patience, and, of course, the endless snacks! We quite literally couldn’t have done it without you. 🥰

To our incredible creative team — thank you for all the hard work, creativity and love you’ve poured into the production. A special thank you to our Director, Alec Fellows-Bennett, for his fantastic direction and for somehow managing to find every single ounce of humour hiding in the script! 😂

To our wonderful Wymsical band, led by Stephen — thank you for bringing the music to life so brilliantly. Stephen’s love of Gilbert and Sullivan was passed down to him from his late father, and we know he would be endlessly proud of the Wymsies and so impressed to see this wonderful music living on in a new generation. 💜

And to Claire-Louise, who somehow managed to play all of those trills, runs and fiendishly tricky bits in the score — you are incredible! 🎶👏

And finally, our fabulous wardrobe team, Kate and Lex — thank you for making our Wymsies look absolutely glorious! From sewing to ironing (and everything in between), you’ve worked tirelessly all week to make sure everyone looked their best. And a special extra thank you to Kate for making the interval refreshments too! 🍰☕

We are so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful team of people behind us.

What a night! ✨🎭

We’re absolutely thrilled by the wonderful response to last night’s performance. The atmosphere, the laughter and the warmth from the audience made it a truly special evening — and we’re so proud of everyone involved, both on stage and behind the scenes.

We were especially honoured to welcome Ian Cox, NODA CIO Trustee, Life Member & Former Chairman of Trustees, who shared these wonderful words after the performance:

“To experience a demanding Gilbert and Sullivan work performed with such enthusiasm, musicality, imagination, comic timing and talent in a village hall was a genuine privilege, for which much appreciation. The standard achieved here in every respect would not have been out of place in a much larger venue.

This really was Gilbert and Sullivan at its very best — witty, musical, imaginative and thoroughly entertaining. My warmest congratulations to everyone involved on stage and behind the scenes, all of whom are deserving of the highest praise and all good wishes for the performance this evening and future productions.”

🎭 Ruddigore is TONIGHT! 🎶

The Wymsies have done something rather wonderful — they’ve rehearsed, learned and produced an entire show in just ONE week, harmonies and all! 👏

With a cast ranging in age from 8 to 21 (with a few adult cameos) it’s been fantastic to see them learning, growing in confidence and, most importantly, enjoying this gorgeous music together. 💛

For the third summer Wymsical are embarking on more Gilbert and Sullivan!

Following the success of Pirates or Penzance and HMS Pinafore this summer the Wymsies tackle Ruddigore!

Join us for a taster session of our wonderful Musical Theatre Choir. The perfect introduction to our practitioner Stephen Watkins (Malvern Hills Music) and the style of material we cover in the sessions. 🎶

The choir sings from sheet music but there is no requirement to be able to read it as long as you can follow along.

Greetings Wymsical Fans!

Our wonderful Alec is directing the Malvern Young Company this week, and lovely Noah (Gaston, Dimitri & Burt Healey) is in the cast!

Alec says it’s not for really young audiences but there is a good nights theatre if you are in the mood for a nights entertainment.

It moves to the Crescent in Birmingham next week.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support yesterday’s performance of Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies! 🌳🏹

We couldn’t be prouder of our incredible Wymsies, who gave their all on stage despite the soaring temperatures. Their hard work, resilience, and positive attitude were amazing to see—not a single complaint, just smiles, determination, and fantastic performances from start to finish. 💚

A special congratulations goes to our Debut and Spotlight groups, who took on the huge challenge of performing an entire show without the support of our senior members. For a cast aged just 8–12, they showed confidence, teamwork, and talent beyond their years. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! ⭐

And, of course, thank you to our wonderfully supportive audience. Even in the heat, you cheered loudly, laughed heartily, and created such a brilliant atmosphere. Your encouragement means the world to our young performers.

There’s no slowing down! Next up is our Wymsical Prom this Friday, and then it’s straight into our summer project! Ruddigore produced in just one week! !

🌿🏹 No rest for the wicked! 🏹🌿

Today it’s our amazing junior groups Spotlight and Debut taking to the stage with their fantastic production of Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies! 💚

🎭 7:30pm performance – S O L D O U T! 🎉

There’s still time to join us though – tickets will be available on the door for our 5:45pm performance.

With the warm weather, please come prepared! Feel free to bring a handheld fan and make sure you have plenty of fluids to keep cool.

At Wymsical Theatre, we try to keep sustainability at centre stage. From the costumes you see under the spotlight to the sets that bring our stories to life, we’re proud to make environmentally conscious choices every step of the way.

♻️ Our costumes are often lovingly created from donated and recycled materials, and we keep them stored for rotation in future performances rather than buying new for every show.

🎭 Our sets are regularly reimagined and reused, with furniture often hired or generously borrowed from our amazing team.

🎟️ Tickets are are available in digital formats —no paper needed!

🥤 At events, we use reusable plastic glasses and make sure all paper and plastic waste is properly recycled.

Every small action adds up, and we’re committed to doing our part to protect the planet while continuing to create magical theatre experiences 💚
