A lovely chilled week this week. Lots of activities based around Mothers Day.

The sensory tray was changed up & enjoyed again. We really enjoyed this beautiful book Mothers and Other’s Day. It’s got a really lovely story about Mothers Day from a different prospective.

We’ve been making some secret gifts for all our mummies - I know you will all be super happy when you get them on Sunday. There’s been some fabulous writing too, making me proud as always.

Such fun at Caterpillar Music this week joining in with People that Help us week. We had some amazing costumes & so much fun in class. Some of us even got to wear real medic helmets.

I hope all our mummies have a wonderful day on Sunday. There’s been some beautiful things said about you when we’ve been talking about what makes us love our mummies - my little people clearly love you all very very much 💕

That was busy week! We’ve had another fun filled few days, jam packed with activities & visits.

World Book Days been a big part of our week. We’ve been enjoying lots of world book day inspired activities. The colour monsters have been out. We’ve had a great Julia Donaldson scavenger hunt in the garden where the little people had to try & find all the characters that I’d hidden around. They then marked them off one by one from their lists of all the characters that they had to try & find. Toddlers was Dear Zoo themed this week with lots of great costumes from not just the little people, all the childminders got dressed up too!

Caterpillar music was all about the zoo this week. That tied in nicely with a trip to the zoo the day before our class where we met lots of our friends, all of which also go to Caterpillar music. Raquel loved the pictire of us all together that we’d sent to her.

I’ve been introduced to Danny Go! The animal dance is a well loved episode by one particular little person who was super happy to discover it’s not just at their house, Kate’s telly has it too! Again, that worked really well with our zoo theme this week as the little people danced along like elephants, snakes, giraffes & tigers.

A parent sent in a lovely Dear Zoo jigsaw for us to share. Perfect for today as we’ve been reading it so much, we also had all the animals out from toddler’s this morning so we added them along with the jigsaw too, matching the animals to the pictures.

And of course, not only because it’s World Book Day, but like normal, all week we’ve been reading lots of books. 💕

Today this made us all so happy! The playrooms doors were open, the children had free flow again to come & go as they pleased from playroom to garden. Happiness really does happen when the skies are blue & that sun shines brightly 💕

What a lovely week we’ve enjoyed - so much fun!

A fabulous play session enjoying all the amazing small world rooms at Play and Bee Role Play Centre. The Salon, The Construction Room, Poppy’s Tea Room, The Theatre, The Village Store & Garden Centre, The Post Office & The Steam Train were the most perfect way to let their imaginations run wild. We all had the best time.

We’ve loved being back at Caterpillar Music for the start of another fun filled term kicked off this week with an Under The Sea theme. We had octopuses, whales, jelly fish & sharks as well as some good jiggle & wiggle with scarves, puppets & instruments.

Toddlers today for a nice play with our friends & a nice quiet storytime.

At home we’ve enjoyed the Chinese New Year Sensory Tray set up - lots of talk about the treasures to be found & explored.

We’ve had a super Dear Zoo story bag shared by a ne of our little people today, where we’ve enjoyed the different props & fun of all the zoo animals.

Another week filled with fun that’s gone so quick 💕

But do you know why Weekly Themes matter ❓

In our baby and toddler music classes, every week has a new theme and that is very intentional 🐛🎶

Little ones learn best through repetition and variety. When we introduce a fresh theme each week it keeps their brains engaged, curious, and excited to explore. Even if the songs feel playful and simple, a LOT of learning is happening underneath!

🎵 Here’s what weekly themes support:
• Language development through new words and ideas
• Memory and early sequencing skills
• Social awareness and confidence
• A deeper connection between music and real world experiences

👶 And our favourite part? Show & Tell at the start of our classes!
We begin every class with a short, themed show and tell, giving children a chance to:
• Practice taking turns
• Build confidence in a safe, supportive space
• Make personal connections to the theme
• Feel seen, heard, and valued 🥰

That moment of sharing helps children transition into class, warms up their listening skills, and sets the tone for meaningful music-making together.

So while it may look like singing, playing and just having fun (which of course it is! 🎶😃), each themed class is carefully designed to nurture your child’s growing mind, body and confidence.

Just because it’s the school holidays, things don’t come to a complete standstill here. Tonight I’ve been out on my refresher Safeguarding course.

Happy Valentines to all my little people 💕

It’s all been about love this week, a lovely love filled valentines week.

Lots of valentines inspired activities happened including number recognition & counting. Paint experiments- painting with bubble paint that was a fun activity, getting to pop bubbles. Valentines biscuit making & finishing off our valentines cards.

Valentines week at Caterpillar Music where we took our teddies & had a whole lot of fun With bear hunts, parachutes, instruments & more bubbles.

We took a trip through the carwash which spurred us on to make our own carwash. The cozy coupe is gleaming now & ready for lots of garden play after 3 mini hand carwash experts put their new knowledge to the test.

One of our friends had her Peppa Pig birthday party that we went to with all our friends from toddlers. We enjoyed pass the parcel & party lunches.

And I got the cutest surprise from one of my little people when I got some beautiful roses & a big “happy valentines” 😍

Our first week in February has been lovely. Here’s a snippet of our week

Windy walks resulted in a coffee date with little people to warm ourselves up.
This week’s sensory table set up we’ve gone for Valentine’s Day inspiration. We’ve also been adding to it throughout the week so that we don’t loose interest. It’s been a huge hit again.
Soft play at Thingimagigz racing down that big blue slide was fun again, racing our friends.
Transport week at Caterpillar Music which we also included in our week further by going on a ‘transport walk’ you wouldn’t believe how many different forms of transport we actually saw. Helicopters, taxis, double decker buses, Lorry’s, cars, bikes, trains, motorbikes, vans & even a trike! Bouncing the inflatable planes on the giant net in class & zooming off to space was great fun.
We’ve made valentines decorations, this was a super cute activity that went down really well with the big little people.
And a play with friends at our toddler group.

I think our start to February was just perfect 💕
