Another fabulous year at St Johns St John’s Nursery Playgroup Potters Bar. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, support, gifts and kind words that you have given to the team and playgroup. We look forward to returning in September with a fresh coat of paint😀. Good luck to all those who are starting school. We finished the year off with our graduations, parent/children/team family picnic and walk through the woods ( with a staggering/ approximate 60 people. Last of all saying goodbye and good luck for your retirement to Mrs C🥰

A very big thankyou to all our St Johns Parents for supporting us through this very unusual hot weather. We continue to have our gazebo and awning out to protect us from the sun but it still becomes very hot outside in the afternoons. Both parents of the children and St John's Staff have been supplying the children with lots of different ice lollies and water melons to keep them hydrated. The heat can be incredibly tiring and draining for all. Outdoor play has been limited with lots of water play. They have been so well behaved. Its lovely to listen and observe their good manners and thanking the staff for such fun water play to help to keep them cool.

Happy fathers day! And to all the significant male role models in our lives that take on that support, nuture and love for our little ones. We had two super play and stay mornings. Served a lovely continental breakfast, played football, created drawings and played the guitar. And much more. Thank you to all for a wonderful play and stay, the children were so happy. All the visitors included all the children on the day..one big happy family😽

Hi all, our caterpillars have really grown in size since last Friday. I've tried to keep them cool to slow down their growth however due to the extreme weather they have grown rapidly! Soon they will begin attaching themselves to the lid and spin and form their chrysalides.
I've attached a little child friendly video showing the life cycle of a butterfly, please show your children 🥰

Outdoor play, helping each other to balance and exercises( we tried planks, human wheelbarrow, wall press ups, star jumps, side shuffles and jump to the sky).Spraying water over shape stencils and watching the shape disappear...but how? & much more!
