Last week, Primary 7 had a fantastic morning at the NW200 paddocks. They learned about the NW200, and how to keep safe on the roads. They loved meeting the riders, getting their autographs and collecting lots of goodies! Thanks NW200 for such a great day! 🏍 🏁 🙂🏍 🏁 🙂

⚽️ Lauren Wade football cup ⚽️

We took 11 girls to the annual football tournament at Ulster University on Friday. For some of our girls it was their first experience of 7 a side football.
We were in a very tough group and had a challenging couple of games, but our girls played their hearts out and had fun. They grew in confidence by the last couple of games and won 2 games.
A special mention to Lillie and Amelia Rose who grew in confidence with each game and showed great skill.
We also had the opportunity to hold the girls U17 UEFA cup. The tournament is being played this weekend in Coleraine.
We had a great day with plenty of laughs and giggles. Well done girls.

Our amazing P4/5 class took on a Wild West challenge this week 🤠🌵

Using their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, they were tasked with designing and building their very own schooners—just like the pioneers who travelled across America during the Wild West era!

From planning and sketching to constructing their models, the class showed fantastic imagination and determination. We saw everything from sturdy wagons built for long journeys to beautifully detailed designs that captured the spirit of the Wild West.

Well done, P4/5—you truly impressed us with your hard work and ingenuity! 🚐✨

Kieran Campbell from Coleraine Grammar School visited us today.
He introduced the P7s and P6s to some rugby ball skills and some mini tag rugby games.
The children had a great time learning a new sport and showed some lovely skills in the time they had Kieran.

🍰👩‍🍳 THE GREAT P1/2 BAKE-OFF 👩‍🍳🍰

This week, we baked a cake 🎂 for a very special lady’s birthday while learning lots of new skills! We weighed ingredients ⚖️, followed the recipe step-by-step📝, practised sequencing 🔢, mixed 🥣, decorated 🧁 and even made some top hats to finish off the party! 🎩

A huge thank you to our school canteen staff for cooking the cake for us! 👩‍🍳

The cake went down a treat! 😋🍰

🔵⚪️Portstewart PS Turns Blue & White! 🔵⚪️

Today our school was a sea of blue and white as we showed our support for Coleraine FC ahead of this weekend’s Irish Cup Final ⚽️

We began our day with a whole-school assembly, with an amazing performance of “Have You Ever Seen Coleraine?” that had everyone singing and dancing along! 🎶

We were also DELIGHTED to welcome Benny the Bannsider to our school for a dance in the playground! 🐻🔵⚪️

🐝🍯 A big thank you to Emily’s mum for linking us with two beekeepers as part of our P1/2 Spring topic! The children were buzzing with excitement as they learned from talks, slides, videos and props.

All bees were shown through pictures and resources—no live bees in class.

We even tasted some honey at the end—thank you, Mrs Nairn! 🐝🍯
