A very special visitor at Castle view Academy 🦅

Today, we welcomed Electra the Harris Hawk to school, who arrived with an important job to do — helping us tackle the seagull problem in our area!

Our students were fascinated to meet her and learn more about her role. Electra will be making a few more visits over the coming months, where she will spend some time with her handler on our roof. Her male friend will also be coming for a visit and will be taking flight above the building.

Their mission? To encourage our feathered friends to find somewhere else to enjoy their lunch, rather than joining our students for theirs!

Alongside Electra’s visits, we’re also making a big push to ensure all litter and food waste goes straight into the bins. By working together, we hope to make Castle View a less tempting spot for seagulls and a cleaner, more enjoyable environment for everyone.

We look forward to seeing Electra and a few of her friends again soon!
