Brrr, it's cold! Ask older relatives and neighbours if they need any practical help, such as collecting shopping or essential medicines. Contact NHS 111 if you’re worried about someone’s wellbeing.

Our Champ loves a healthy snack. But the size and shape of whole grapes means they can easily block a child’s airway and can be difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

That’s why grapes and other round foods such as cherry tomatoes, blueberries and sausages should be chopped in half lengthways and ideally into quarters.

Download our free choking fact sheet for more top tips: https://capt.org.uk/resources/choking-fact-sheet/

Throughout December our Champ will be sharing key dangers around the home and simple things you can do to keep children safe. Please follow along and share his adventures.
