What a beautiful day Saturday was at URBOND’s Women’s Conference! ✨

URBOND hosts this event every year to
empower women in our community and provide a platform for our challenges to be heard and our achievements to be celebrated.

Thank you to our amazing guest speakers Anne Stevens, Flo Ayeyemi, Lara Kynvin and Dr Alisha Damani who kindly shared their stories with us. Thank you to our lovely Barabara & Jenelle who performed a special mother and daughter duet. A huge well done to our youth ambassadors who led a very successful the live panel discussion at the event.

Our women’s conference is only a week away now! … in light of the upcoming event, we’d like to share the amazing speech that our wonderful youth ambassador, Adobea, delivered in 2024 🙌

Exciting news! We will be conducting skin analyses in partnership with .beautyacademy at the Women’s Conference on Saturday 8th March!

This is done by using the professional OPARTA device to assess the condition of your skin, its needs, and then create a skincare plan. You will have the opportunity to consult with two experienced skincare experts leading the training academy.

The amazing Lara Kynvin will be speaking at the URBOND Women’s Conference on Saturday 8thMarch. Lara is a qualified counsellor and lived experience consultant for the NHS who is an advocate for those experiencing mental health challenges and raising awareness around su***de prevention.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr Alisha Damani will be delivering a speech at this year’s Women’s Conference on Saturday 8th March. Alisha is a qualified NHS doctor and performance and wellness expert whose work explores self-discovery, transformation and what it means to be human.

Olufolake ‘Flo’ Ayeyemi is a champion for improving equality and diversity in our community, a dedicated activist for women and mothers and works to support parents and carers of children with special/educational needs.

Flo will be sharing her experience as a minority woman in the UK, her story of becoming a mother and the challenges she has overcome to get where she is today.

Anne Stevens is an experienced business leader who has held global executive roles at likes of IBM, CSC, CMC Markets and Rio Tinto. She is also a recognised leader on gender balance and inclusion.

Anne will be sharing her inspirational story at the URBOND Women’s Conference on what it was like to become a female entrepreneur in the corporate world, the challenges she overcame and what advice she would give to other women in business.
