Due to Shanai going on maternity leave, Brooke will be following the comets over into the planet room as room leader. She has been very busy this week getting the room ready for their transition! We can’t wait to welcome them over. Well done, Brooke! 😊

🌟 BUGGY UPDATE🌟

An update to our recent post, the buggy has been returned and reunited with it's owner. This was a genuine mistake due to other items that were available for anyone to take that were left in the same area. We would like to say a huge thank you to those who left positive comments including offers of similar buggies for free, this was very much appreciated. We apologise for any negative comments that were posted. These do not in any way reflect the views of the staff and owners of Twinkle Cottage as we strive to maintain a positive and welcoming environment to all our parents, children and the wider community of Fratton. Thank you again to those who chose to post kindly and we are very grateful this issue has been resolved 😊

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our graduation party for our Planets who will be starting school in September! Please arrive for 1pm and party will finish at 4pm. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all 😊🌟

☀️ Heatwave Reminder ☀️

With the heatwave weather continuing this week, we will be making sure children are safe but also keeping everyone cool and comfortable through activities, including water play and ice play.

Please can all children come to the setting with:

💧 A named water bottle (we will refill these throughout the day as needed)

👕 Plenty of spare clothes, including underwear and socks!

🩱 If you wish, your child may come with a covered-up swimming costume suitable for water play

🧢 Appropriate clothing for the weather, including a sun hat and lightweight clothing

🧴 Please ensure sun cream has been applied before arriving at the setting. If your child requires reapplication during the day, we are happy to do this with your child’s named suncream.

We will be monitoring the temperature closely and ensuring children stay hydrated, cool and safe while enjoying the sunshine ☀️

Dear Parents,

To get in the spirit we will be doing lots of craft activities for Englands first game of the World Cup tomorrow. Please feel free to bring your child in wearing a football top or something red & white ⚽️😊

This afternoon, we were delighted to welcome ZooLab for a very special visit!

The children enjoyed an exciting and interactive experience, learning fascinating facts about a variety of animals. They had the opportunity to meet and carefully hold or stroke some amazing creatures, including a snake, tarantula, cockroach, frog, and stick insect. 🐍🪳🐸🕷️

We were incredibly proud of all the children, who sat beautifully throughout the session, listened carefully and showed great curiosity when meeting the animals. It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience that everyone thoroughly enjoyed! ⭐

We’ve come in this morning to 4 baby chicks hatched! Another egg has almost hatched which gives the children a great opportunity to watch them coming out 🐣🐥
