Dear Parents,

To get in the spirit we will be doing lots of craft activities for Englands first game of the World Cup tomorrow. Please feel free to bring your child in wearing a football top or something red & white ⚽️😊

This afternoon, we were delighted to welcome ZooLab for a very special visit!

The children enjoyed an exciting and interactive experience, learning fascinating facts about a variety of animals. They had the opportunity to meet and carefully hold or stroke some amazing creatures, including a snake, tarantula, cockroach, frog, and stick insect. 🐍πŸͺ³πŸΈπŸ•·οΈ

We were incredibly proud of all the children, who sat beautifully throughout the session, listened carefully and showed great curiosity when meeting the animals. It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience that everyone thoroughly enjoyed! ⭐

Our African Land Snails have arrived! We are very excited to introduce to you Shelley and Sheldon! We collected them this afternoon, and have explained to our children all of the very important rules, that we must follow.

Don't tap their home!
Handle them very gently.
We must try to be quiet around them (as we don't want to scare them!)
Watch them very carefully, to make sure they're being good.
If we are playing near the tank, we must be careful not to accidently knock it, as this would scare the snails.

All of the planets have been really excited in the days leading up to getting them, and we can't wait to watch the snails grow everyday! These snails open up lots of learning opportunities for the children, such as the responsibility of looking after the snails, by caring for them in ways like: helping to feed them, helping to clean their tank, and giving them love by eventually learning to gently hold them. This also supports our current topic which is how things grow as the snails are only currently babies, and we will get to watch their life cycle, as they grow from baby snails, to fully grown adult snails!

We all celebrated earth day by creating pictures and having discussions about how we are "heroes" by saving the earth through recyling, putting rubbish in bins and planting!

We’re looking to welcome a new little friend to our nursery and are currently on the lookout for an African Land Snail 🐌

If anyone has one they are able to rehome, we would love to hear from you! This will be a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about caring for living things, responsibility, and respect for nature in a fun and engaging way.

Please feel free to send us a message or e-mail if you can help 😊

We hope you all had a lovely easter weekend! Last week the children got into the easter spirit and joined in with an Easter Egg Hunt! They had to search all round the garden to find an egg each using great gross motor skills to climb, crawl, jump and stretch to find their eggs. They was rewarded with a special prize insideπŸ₯šπŸ£
