✨ Preview from one of our recent sessions with our Intro to Improvers students.
We explored one of the most important follower skills.
A great follower shouldn’t be ahead of the leader ... they’re with the leader.
Light, responsive, and ready — like a leaf on the wind, moving only when the breeze arrives.
We practised waiting for the actual signal before stepping.
No more predicting “rock steps” just because they “should” be there — instead, listening for the leader’s guidance and letting the movement happen naturally when the information arrives.
This is the magic of connection:
🟠 Followers staying present, not predicting
🟠 Leaders giving clear, confident direction
🟠 Both roles creating the dance together
Have you tried slowing down, waiting, and letting the lead truly guide your steps?
It’s such an important skill — especially in a world where the same combination can be led in so many different ways.
Tell us your experience — what changed for you when you stopped predicting and started listening.
