Sharing recipes feels like a gift. I’ve tried this, it’s delicious, you try it too. It’s why cooking reels are so popular! But when it happens in real life it feels like friendship.
This Chickpea & spinach soup recipe was shared with me this week and it’s so good I want to share it further. Thank you
And it’s also really nutritious x

Monday night cookery classes are so fun! This week we made Frittata with a variety of vegetables. A low carb, high profile high fibre meal that can be made in advance and is great as a snack.
What would you like to learn to cook?

Clare Martin- CEO of Pomepy in the Community, on the final miles of her epic 5 marathons in 5 days. We walked the eastern path together while she heads to the finish line at Guildhall square.
Raising money to complete the amazing John Jenkins stadium and amazing resource for health and wellness in the city. I adore working with Clare, she never fails to inspire me with her determination and perseverance. Please support her, and her vision for the city.

Amazing foraging walks recently! I’m loving autumn.
🍂sloes
🍂seabuckthorn berries
🍂hawthorn
I’ve found some cool recipes for sloe cordial (meant to taste like Ribena!) and sloe olives, which will keep me off the the gin.
Sea buckthorn is very high in Vit C but so sour! So will become a chutney for cheese at Christmas. And the hawthorn will join apples to make a jelly or jam.
What foraging gems have you found?

One of the joys of cooking for children during the HAF holiday schemes is that I can make foods I loved as a child, and never usually get to make. Who recognises what this will become?
