Solent Junior School will be hosting an informative and interactive session on Monday, 13th January, from 5.30 - 6.30PM.

This session aims to equip you with the tools and understanding needed to support your children in navigating the digital world, ensuring their online experiences remain safe, secure, and positive.

Please note that registration will close by Friday, 10th January.

And last but by no means least, it was Victory House's turn to enjoy their Christmas Breakfast, feasting on some yummy bacon rolls, croissants and pastries while catching up with the house mates, completing the Christmas quiz, even playing some interesting games and winning some fantastic prizes! 💙

Last week, our Mayfield Singers group helped raise money for the Rotary Club within the Tesco building down at Fratton. They sang plenty of festive tunes which certainly filled the public with Christmas cheer, so much so that our pupils helped to raise £243 that day, which is a fantastic achievement for the charities and for our students, we couldn't be more proud of this lot!

𝐅𝐎𝐌 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐲𝐫𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 🎁

This month saw one of our Annual Christmas events - the Christmas Fayre.

This year's stalls consisted of a house stall and games, personalised gifts, cakes, cookies, dancewear, beauty and Christmas stocking fillers. The Dance Live team and Year 10 Business students also had stalls, all with a jolly choir and school band playing as viewers watched and shopped.

We want to take this opportunity to share the wonderful news regarding the Friends Of Mayfield's Christmas Fayre 2024. All the hard work behind the scenes has truly paid off, and we are pleased to announce that this event was a great success, raising a lot of £696.93, which greatly benefits ongoing projects.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff, pupil helpers, site team and cleaning staff for their invaluable contributions before, during and after the fayre. A special thank you goes to Santa for generously giving us your time; your presence brought joy to many.

Most importantly, we want to extend our appreciation to you, our Mayfield community. Without your support and participation, there would be no Friends Of Mayfield. Your engagement is what makes our events truly memorable and impactful.

As we approach the holiday season, we wish you all a peaceful and joyous Christmas. Thanky ou once again for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at our future events.

Today, in Seniors, Discovery House enjoyed their Christmas Breakfast today as they feasted on some yummy bacon rolls, croissants and pastries while catching up with the house mates and competing against other tutors in the Christmas quiz! 💙

𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐏 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝! 💙

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Labour MP Amanda Martin to Mayfield School, where she explained her role in the Houses of Parliament and her journey to becoming a Member of Parliament. She also stated the importance of voting when you have the opportunity and how resilience and ambition in posting a vote can help change the country for the better, making your views heard.

We're almost there, it's nearly Christmas time! And to make this year special, we've put together some exciting morning sessions for your extended tutor for your last week of the school term before the holidays! Take a look through the post to see what you've got coming up... 👀

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐮 🎄🍽️

Wednesday 11th December will be the School Christmas lunch for all of the Primary children.

All children in Years R, 1 and 2 are entitled to a free Universal school meal and will be counted for a Christmas lunch as will all Free School Meal children. Children will be asked their choices in class this week.

If your child is in Years 3, 4, 5 or 6 and you pay for school dinners and would like them to have the Christmas lunch, please go onto SCOPAY to select the Christmas menu on the 11th December and pay the £2.68. This will need to be done by 12pm on Monday 9th in order for us to get numbers across to the kitchen. The only option for this day will be a Turkey or veggie option, if you child does not wish to have the Christmas menu please send them to school with a packed lunch.
