Bouncy bears preschool at Springwood community centre Waterlooville

We have continued with our Easter activities today, as well as enjoying time out in the sunshine, reading stories playing with the trains and rolling balls down our tunnels. The babies have been enjoying the soft play flipping them over and balancing on them.

❗️CHICKEN POX❗️

We have had 1 confirmed case of chicken pox. Please be vigilant and look out for signs and symptoms. If your child does present in spots please take your child to the pharmacy to have it confirmed. Our policy states any child with chicken pox will have to be off for a minimum of 7 days from when spots appear.

Today we have started our Easter activities, the children helped tear up tissue paper and screw it into balls, they chose the colours they wanted use and stuck them to their Easter chicks. We have enjoyed time in the garden using the climbing frame and bikes enjoying the sunshine too.

Today the children made pasta with peppers, peas and tomato in they used spooks to mix it altogether with mayonnaise, they enjoyed talking about the different colours of the vegetables.
In the garden they enjoyed using gross motor skills, painting with the brushes and water, creating different shapes and lines with the water

Yesterday and today the children have been continuing to explore number recognition, matching the numbers and then some children wanted to draw the number inside too. We have also been exploring feelings we watched the colour monster book, and then described how we were feeling and then we tried to remember what colour meant what feeling, we also coloured own own monster with how we were that feeling.
The babies have been exploring the soft play shapes and balancing on them, also using them as tunnels

Today the children have been identifying numbers inside and outside today, we played a number game where they had to match the number shown and we asked if using their fingers they could show us the number, we have also been identifying objects around preschool.
Out in the garden we have been using our bodies and fitting into small spaces using the climbing frame and the tyres. We have also been looking at stories and talking about what is happening on the page.

Today the children have been playing matching games, abab patterns, the babies have been playing peekaboo and using tools in the sand. We have been in the garden on the ride on toys

This morning for our cookery activity the children have been making yogurt and granola cups with blueberries on top.

Yesterday we made fruit jelly for cooking and they were really yummy! We’ve been making dragon streamers for Chinese new year🐲 we’re working on some ABAB patterns as well for our next steps🐻
