We're delighted to share that we've been ranked 4th in the UK for postgraduate research student satisfaction in the 2026 Postgraduate Research Experience Survey!

This fantastic result reflects the commitment of colleagues across the University of Portsmouth who support our postgraduate researchers and deliver an outstanding doctoral experience. Thank you to everyone involved in postgraduate research at the University of Portsmouth, and to all our PGRs who took the time to complete the survey and share their feedback.

We had a fantastic second and final day of our postgraduate researcher induction. A day focused on supporting PGR wellbeing, mental health and inclusion, while equipping them with practical development tips, resources and peer insights to help them plan for a successful research journey.
