We have been finding more lions on the trail. On Thursday we found the butterfly lion at King George V playing fields, after visiting our friends at Hamilton House. Today we found 3 more lions as we had a little adventure from Alexandra Park to the Hilsea bud station. We had fun around Hilsea lines walking, climbing and seeing the sights! In the pringle park we had a picnic and fun with buckets and spades. The little pineapples dug deep to find wet sand to build sand castles 🦁🍍

Today we visited the lion at Casemates in Foxes Forest. The beautiful lion created lots opportunities to talk about the animals that live locally from day to night 🦁🦊🍍

What a great to start to the Lion trail the little pineapples have had! Today they found the unicorn at North End Library and last week we found three of the lions around the historic dockyard. We have also created our own lion to add to the trail! At our family race day we asked all families to make their mark to celebrate 100 years of Portsmouth! The little pineapples have continued to add to it and it looks fantastic! Our very own graffiti lion! Please feel free to add your mark if you visit us at Pineapple Tots!

Today is National Lollipop Day. But did you know that just like whole grapes the colourful treats can be a serious choking hazard?
The hard sweet can come off the stick. And it’s the perfect size and shape to completely block a small child’s airway. This happens silently and if you’re not watching you might not even notice.
Please think twice before giving a round lollipop to a young child. Flat lollies are much safer.
If you do give your child one, stay with them whilst they eat it and encourage them to sit still and take small licks instead of putting the whole thing in their mouth.

The little pineapples love to learn and experience new things! If any parents, family members or friends of the little pineapples can help us to support their understanding of the world, we would love to visit you at work or you could come to us for a show and tell? Maybe you work in dentist, hairdressers, gym, supermarket, local services, museums etc. the list is endless! What could you do to help?? ⛴️🏋️🤸💇♀️🧑🎨👷👮👩⚕️🚑🪠🛒🚌🚑🚚🏗️🍍

To our end our sea theme week we got to go on a boat! Living in Portsmouth we are lucky enough to be surrounded by the sea, so what a great adventure it was for the little pineapples! One of our little pineapple’s has been telling us about her daddy’s boat and wanted to take her friends to go on it! Gosport ferry provides a great opportunity to spot wildlife, different types of boats and landmarks across the sea! They asked lots of questions about the radar and life saving ring. They shouted out what they could see, including mermaids, sharks and Manuelita the turtle. For some of our little pineapples this was their first ever experience on a boat! After our trip we enjoyed a picnic just by the dockyard. A huge thank you to Gosport ferry!🌊🐢⛴️🍍
