Back to where it all began: Three friends return to Portsmouth after three decades 🎓

Thirty years on from graduation, Hagen, Heiko, and Niklas returned to Portsmouth to step back into student life, renting a house in Southsea just a short walk from their student houses.

Since graduating, they have become entrepreneurs, raised families, and embraced opportunities around the world 🌍

For Hagen, Heiko and Niklas, Portsmouth is where their lifelong friendship was forged, their futures began to take shape, and memories were made that still bring them back, nearly three decades later 💜✨

Good luck to Team Portsmouth in Varsity 2026 🙌

This weekend, Portsmouth will host the 18th Varsity against the University of Southampton. But, before the rivalry between the South Coast teams took hold from 2009, we played against the University of Chichester back in 2008.

This edition of Purple Wednesdays, the university's free student newspaper, also featured the University of Portsmouth Skydiving Club and UPSAC, the University's diving club.
