We are saddened to learn of the passing of Dame Esther Rantzen, who received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of Portsmouth in 2003.

Dame Esther's pioneering work as a broadcaster and as founder of Childline changed countless young lives, and we were incredibly proud to welcome Dame Esther into our alumni community.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.

Back to where it all began: Three friends return to Portsmouth after three decades 🎓

Thirty years on from graduation, Hagen, Heiko, and Niklas returned to Portsmouth to step back into student life, renting a house in Southsea just a short walk from their student houses.

Since graduating, they have become entrepreneurs, raised families, and embraced opportunities around the world 🌍

For Hagen, Heiko and Niklas, Portsmouth is where their lifelong friendship was forged, their futures began to take shape, and memories were made that still bring them back, nearly three decades later 💜✨
