Last term we learnt about Growth.
We looked at photos of us as babies👶
Planted seeds and took them home (how are they growing?) 🌱
We collaged a sunflower & watched it 'grow' each week
We measured each other to see who was the tallest/shortest 📏
Looked at life cycles of frogs, butterflies, trees & ducks

We made beautiful symmetry butterfly squish paintings 🦋

On Tuesday the City of Portsmouth was 100 years old. To celebrate we drew around a child & collaged them in Pompey colours.

On Thursday we celebrated St George's Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
We learnt about St George and collaged flags to take home

This term our topic was shapes 🟨🟢🔺️
We drew around shapes, coloured them in then cut them out, very carefully, sometimes with adult help
Printed patterns using rollers & paint
Collaged shapes with various types of media
Created junk models using boxes
And made a huge caterpillar using tubular paper 🐛
AND....
National Science Week and Mother's Day!
What a busy term.

We had a visit from a pygmy African hedgehog and two rabbits.

We have two new fish that the children have named Tiddler & Flounder

A busy Christmas time 🎄
Our Christmas tree entry was Mistletoes
We made Christmas tree cards, snowmen calendars and beautiful Angels 👼

Recycling♻️
We used recycled paper to make pictures
We used recycled items to make toothbrush holders🪥
We collected the leaves in our garden and put them in our leaf bin 🍂
A parent came in & read a story about recycling & the children made pictures of mice using recycled paper 🐁
We learnt what recycling means & how it helps our planet

Alice from Tigerboat Tales came in and told the story of The Gingerbread Man.
The children sat enthralled & really enjoyed joining in and playing with the puppets.
Great fun!
