Little feet, big adventure ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’™

Running, climbing, and exploringโ€”over logs, under branches, through winding paths. Lots of opportunities for expanding vocabulary by using prepositions of position and movement.
Running up hills, rolling back down, and pausing to listen to birdsong. Saying hello to friendly dog walkers and discovering a carpet of bluebells along the way.

A day full of fresh air and quiet moments in nature ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒฒ

Lambing season ๐Ÿ‘โœจ

As spring unfolds and nature begins to awaken, our little explorers had the most special day at Staunton Farmโ€”meeting newborn lambs and seeing the early stages of the life cycle up close ๐ŸŒผ

They fed sheep, goats, llamas and alpacas, and spotted pigs, horses and cows too ๐Ÿ–๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ„

We shared a picnic in a beautiful old gothic library and wandered through the greenhouse ๐ŸŒฑ

A day full of curiosity, caring for animals, and discovering how new life begins in the natural world ๐Ÿ’›

Happy Mother's Day ๐Ÿ’•

Today our children stepped back in time during their visit to the D-Day Museum in Southsea. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

While exploring the museum, they had great fun searching for Gustav the pigeon hidden around the exhibits. Gustav was a real war hero who carried the first message back to Britain confirming that the D-Day landings had begun. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

They also had the amazing experience of climbing aboard a real landing craft, imagining what it must have been like for the soldiers who crossed the Channel on D-Day.

Back at home, we continued the learning by reading Gustavโ€™s story together and reflecting on the important role he played during the war.

Our recent favourite spot to explore on the school runs, nicknamed "a flower castle" by the children.

Moments like this help children slow down and notice the world around them.

Playing outside gives them the chance to move freely, build confidence climbing and running, and learn how their bodies work. Exploring the blossom sparked lots of curiosity too โ€” asking questions, talking about colours, and noticing how the seasons change.

Simple moments in nature like this support childrenโ€™s language, imagination, and friendships as they share ideas and discoveries together. Most of all, it gives them space to be joyful, curious, and fully involved in the world around them. ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ
