A morning spent watching boats pass by, waving to the crews, collecting seashells, and throwing stones into the water. Every adventure brings new conversations, curious questions, and moments of pure joy.
Life by the coast gives children endless opportunities to explore, notice the world around them, build confidence, solve little problems, and let their imaginations lead the way. The calming effect of blue spaces can also support emotional wellbeing, helping children feel relaxed, connected, and free to simply be.
Sometimes the best learning doesn't happen inside four walls—it happens with salty air, sandy toes, and the sound of the waves.

Little feet, big adventure 🌿💙

Running, climbing, and exploring—over logs, under branches, through winding paths. Lots of opportunities for expanding vocabulary by using prepositions of position and movement.
Running up hills, rolling back down, and pausing to listen to birdsong. Saying hello to friendly dog walkers and discovering a carpet of bluebells along the way.

Lambing season 🐑✨

As spring unfolds and nature begins to awaken, our little explorers had the most special day at Staunton Farm—meeting newborn lambs and seeing the early stages of the life cycle up close 🌼

They fed sheep, goats, llamas and alpacas, and spotted pigs, horses and cows too 🐖🐎🐄

We shared a picnic in a beautiful old gothic library and wandered through the greenhouse 🌱

A day full of curiosity, caring for animals, and discovering how new life begins in the natural world 💛

March highlights 🐇🥚💐

Today our children stepped back in time during their visit to the D-Day Museum in Southsea. 🇬🇧

While exploring the museum, they had great fun searching for Gustav the pigeon hidden around the exhibits. Gustav was a real war hero who carried the first message back to Britain confirming that the D-Day landings had begun. 🕊️

They also had the amazing experience of climbing aboard a real landing craft, imagining what it must have been like for the soldiers who crossed the Channel on D-Day.

Back at home, we continued the learning by reading Gustav’s story together and reflecting on the important role he played during the war.
