EMPOWERING MENOPAUSE.
As most of you know Health and Well-being has been a HUGE passion of mine for many many years.
I am taking all my years of training, courses, knowledge, my own peri & menopause journey and experience to YOU!
Everyone is different and Peri-menopause and menopause will be different for everyone too.
Whether it’s night sweats, waking in the night, hot flushes, low mood, lower concentration, struggling with memory, weight, changes in your body, your skin and hair, and lots more. I want to hear from you!

Amen to this!
So many influencers and messages out there all about how the body ‘should’ look! How about how it should feel, function and what it enables us to do!
Don’t even get me started on how they’re telling people they don’t need to do cardio just do weights just based on getting a ‘look’ what happened to heart health, endorphins from a run or bike session, the community benefits of a social class, the mind space it gives us.
Think of all the marvellous things our body does for us, keep it strong for now and later life, keep your heart strong, your lungs healthy, your skin glowing, your hormones stable, your mind nourished, your energy levels high, your concentration at optimum, get out doors, do what makes you happy and ‘feel’ good. Stop focusing on what society tells you you need to look like and think of what your body can do 💗

MENTAL HEALTH WEEK!

Sometimes when your life looks 💩 take a different path and save yourself! 🛟
Feeling low can happen to anyone at any point. Increase in bills, mortgages, news of wars, post covid financial or people losses, work, relationships, childcare, poor health….. the list goes on.
The most freeing, de stressing and free feel good thing you can do to help??
Walk. Get outdoors, jog a little or even run….. You may not feel like it, like now it could be raining outside BUT you WILL feel great during and after.
Those endorphins and feel good chemicals will kick in and THESE help to make better decisions, provide more energy and clarity, help relieve stress and make you feel damn good!
The two paths are there for you to choose 💗 much love 💗

Iron deficiency is common among people who train regularly and especially in women.
If you’re feeling tired and sluggish you should have a doctor check your iron level regularly.
If you do feel sluggish and especially in your training, try eating more iron-rich foods such as those below. If you struggle to get iron rich foods in your diet you might want to consider taking an iron supplement.
* Red meat, liver and kidney, pork and poultry.
* Shellfish and seafood
* Eggs.
* Spinach, broccoli & Dark green leafy vegetables
* Beans eg Black beans, kidney beans, Edamame beans.
* Tofu
* Dried fruit, such as prunes, raisins and apricots.
* Iron-fortified cereals, breads and pastas.
* Seeds such as Pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and Flaxseeds
* Quinoa
* AND My favourite….. Dark chocolate!!
Having vitamin C or vitamin C rich food with foods or supplements containing Iron will help increase the absorption of Iron!
However… Having tea or coffee along with iron based meals or supplements reduces the absorption of iron by 70 to 80 per cent.

Great work to this beaut yesterday in the Berlin half marathon! She smashed it 💪🏽 A long year of COVID, lockdowns, constant migranes, 2 young children, work and a house to run, but she’s put in the effort and the results showed for themselves.
We’ve consistently strength trained which is essential to running and preventing injury and kept her strong. We’ve looked at nutrition along with ensuring good quality sleep and rest and she’s gone and done it, well done, super proud! 💪🏽 🏃♀️🥰

Eating healthy isn’t just about weight, it’s about how you feel, how much energy you have, how your brain focuses and how your body works.
The past year or so I’ve gone from strict eating for comp to eating what I want when I want, has it affected my weight? A tiny bit. Has it affected my mind? Yes! Has it affected my energy levels? Absolutely.
After a needed recharge weekend, evaluation of why I’ve been feeling the way I have, a new job I want to give my best to and with encouraging people in my life I’ve decided it’s time.
I’m not going super clean, I’m going to have bits of what I love BUT I will be planning what I eat and most of all MAKING SURE I GET GOOD NUTRIENTS into my body.
Planning and preparing is a great way to stay on track and avoid grabbing quick fix foods when you’re hungry or on the go.
I know I will have better concentration levels, more energy, feel healthier and happier and much less sluggish!
Yes calories are important for weight management but NUTRITION is important for giving your body, brain and cells what they need to function at their best.
Your food should meet your goals AND give you the best chance of feeling AMAZING!

2 months of small changes to diet, still eating foods she loves and a change to training. Goal was to be stronger, leaner and gain some lean muscle mass.
Weight down 3kg, waist down by an inch and amazing changes in body composition.
Lots of learning, habit changing, reflecting and even helping those around her want to make changes to how abs what they eat.
Proud of how this girl has progressed through this journey and how her lifestyle has changed!
