Exciting news!
Creative Minds Holiday Club is back at Denmead Junior School this Easter!
We’re open from Monday 7th April to Thursday 17th April, all-day every Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5.30pm. 🐣🐰

We’ve got a fantastic line-up of activities planned, including trips, cooking and baking, crafts, messy play, and plenty of outdoor fun!

We also have some free places available for children who qualify for free school meals or pupil premium. These sessions run from 8am to 5pm and will include a hot or cold meal. 🐣🐰

Need support during the summer holidays? There are over 150 HAF schemes running across Hampshire throughout July and August that offer enriching activities and healthy meals to kids and teens who receive Free School Meals. The children have spent this week decorating Easter egg pictures to take part in a DDC Easter Egg competition. The children were given the option to colour, draw, paint and glue their designs. A winner and Runner up have been chosen and the children will be given the results and prizes next week. All children who took part will all receive a small token prize

Asda is offering Free Hot Porridge and A Free Hot drink for Children and Adults until 6th March! 🥣☕🫖

We've teamed up with Quaker Oats UK to offer a free bowl of porridge and a free hot drink to customers at 205 of our stores with an Asda Café.

The new free offer starts on February 7 and is available to customers of all ages at stores with an Asda Café for the next six weeks. It's the fourth initiative now available at our cafes to help customers with the cost of living, joining our Kids Eat for £1 offer, the over 60’s £1 Winter Warmers soup and a roll offer, and the Community Cuppa offer, which provides community groups meeting space later in the day with a free hot drink.

Gemma Rutter, Asda Cafe & Partnerships Buying Manager, said: “It’s great to be partnering with Quaker to offer a free bowl of porridge in all of our Asda Cafés. We know that post-Christmas, along with the cold weather, customers feel an additional strain on household budgets as they continue to worry about how to keep themselves warm in the face of rising living costs and on a fixed income. We hope this initiative will prove impactful across the winter months for those who need it most." Terms and conditions apply.

The children have been working on a remberance board this week. The children came up with the ideas themselves with the help of staff to put it together

We've been doing lots of autumn and Halloween craft this week. We've carved pumpkins, made spiders, ghosts and made an autumn wreath with our hands. Hope everyone has a lovely half term and look forward to hearing all about it when we're back. DDC wrap team

Since the new term the children have been learning about the solar system.
The children designed there own planets and also made there own aliens which had super powers 🔋
The children painted there own planets in which they designed and planned and we hung those on the board.
