Here is what we have been getting up to the past couple of week at St Nicks!

Crunch and munch was a huge success! The children (and staff) throughly enjoyed all the delicious foods that were kindly brought in and made by our lovely parents and would like to thank you once again for your efforts and for attending the session.

🥕 🥬 🍜 CRUNCH AND MUNCH Wednesday 8th July 10.30am 🥕🥬 🍜

We are holding a Crunch and Munch session this Wednesday 8th July for those children who attend on Wednesday, parents can come in and join them at 10.30am to share a healthy snack.

We would like you to bring in a healthy food that you would like to share (we encourage foods from different cultures for the children to explore.)

Please do not bring anything with NUTS, SEEDS or PINEAPPLE as we have children with allergies attending the setting.

The session will last around 30 minutes.

If you have any questions please speak to a member of preschool staff.

Last week our topic was Understanding The World - Noticing Changes. At the craft table we mixed colours, made faces. We made and played with dough. At circle time we talked about differences, eye colours, hair textures etc. For science and investigation we made toast.

Parents should have received an email this morning with regards to the rising temperatures. We have made the decision to close the preschool tomorrow lunchtime Thursday 25th June at 12:00pm. Morning session will run as usual, but we ask if all parents could pick their child up for this time - we are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Preschool will re-open with usual opening hours and sessions Friday 26th June.

Although our first week after the half term was unexpectedly a short week, we still managed to squeeze in lots of fun activities for our topic of Rhyme and Rhythm.

The children enjoyed rhyming games and making characters from their favourite nursery rhymes.

With thanks to the parents and children from our sow and grow session last term, we’ve had our first little harvest of radishes, the children enjoyed giving these a try and have loved to help water all the plants and crops daily.

We have made the decision to keep closed for tomorrow Tuesday 2nd June (please see email)

The children who have missed out on their sessions due to the closure will be offered another day, which we will sort out individually with each parent.

We would like to sincerely apologies again for any inconvenience/disruption this has caused.

*URGENT UPDATE*
Due to unforeseen circumstances with staff sickness the preschool will be closed tomorrow Monday 1st June.

Please look out for an email from the preschool and we will update all parents tomorrow with regard to Tuesday.
