When you decide to get a tutor for your child, I would like to think it’s because you want to see them progress in a subject. In order for this to happen there needs to be consistency and commitment from you as parents and from your child. Lately I’m seeing more and more students/parents cancel lessons last minute or say they will pick it up again after the school holidays. Tutoring requires one hour of your child’s time each week that’s all. There’s still plenty of time for rest and fun if your child is in year 11 they should be continuing revision during the school holidays too. There are only 4 short months when school starts in the new year before exams start. The students I work with make progress when they attend lessons each week and are not sporadic with their attendance. The reason I chose to tutor was to make a difference I very very rarely cancel a lesson and certainly not without a very good reason because I know just how important it is.
