Our Dance and Drama Exam Showcase is happening next week for our talented year 11 students. This showcase is their final performance exam for their BTEC qualification. Tickets now available on Arbor.

On Thursday 27th March 2025, the CVA Dance Company travelled to Bournemouths to perform at the Regional platform for Sadler's Wells Making Moves Project.

Back in September, they successfully gained a place in the project and were paired with professional choreographer Jules Cunningham. Since then they have been delving in Jule's way of working and choreographing to create their own piece in response to the choreographic toolkit we were given.

The result was a piece created by the company and Mrs Miller called 'The Calling' which took inspiration from the poem 'The Crow Is Walking' which the dancers then related to their own stories and battles. Our students felt that sometimes, you don't always feel seen as a person and can become lost in a crowd. They want to feel heard, to be seen and to support those around them to do the same.

Well done CVA Dance Company! You have represented Castle View with professionalism and determination.

Mrs Nutland has had an insane amount of support from our local community meaning we now have a wide range of prom dresses, suits, shoes and accessories to rent out to our students to ensure everyone is able to go to prom. To showcase the beautiful occasion wear we have, Mrs Nutland will be holding a fashion show on 23rd January for any year 10 and 11 families to attend.

For just £1 a ticket for our Prom Fashion Show, you will be treated to; light refreshments, canapés, fashion show and the opportunity to peruse the dresses, suits and accessories, plus a raffle!
