UK FINALIST- Community impact award ✨

Never did I think my little dream of making dance affordable, inclusive and free of barriers for all children would ever be recognised by a UK wide award, let alone be nominated as a finalist for TWO!

I teach our children every day that anything is possible if you believe in it and yourself, and I think being nominated for these is another of those moments where I stand back and realise what I have achieved and just how wonderful it is.

Community Impact Award- Celebrates a dance school or organisation making a positive difference within their local or wider community through outreach, engagement or social initiatives.

Today I got the news that FunKidz Dance have been chosen as one of the finalists in the UK Dance awards.

I am quite simply stunned and so incredibly proud to have been recognised for such a big award that includes so many organisations and schools across the UK.

What a huge huge achievement for FunKidz to be shortlisted for an award for Excellence in Inclusive Dance Practice. The reason why I started this in primary schools, to give ALL children access to dance.

The award recognises dance schools or organisations committed to making dance accessible, inclusive and welcoming to dancers of all abilities and backgrounds.

Can’t wait to be on my first ever red carpet! 🥹
