Congratulations to our amazing Pre-School Manager Vicky for becoming a fully accredited Level 3 Forest School Leader.

Very well done to Vicky for all of her hard work, especially balancing training with being a busy mum and nanny as well as her full time role at The Stacey Pre-School - the only early years setting in Portsmouth fully accredited by the Forest School Association.

Sparklers & Marshmallows - hosted by the amazing Christ Central Church Portsmouth at The Stacey Centre on Saturday 8 November from 5-6pm.

As we start to move into 4 wonderful years of The Stacey Preschool, we want to say a massive thank you to our amazing friends at Acadia Timber Ltd for all the incredible resources and furniture they’ve created for us over the years. 💚

From the fencing that makes our setting beautifully free-flowing into our forest garden and allotment, to the stunning pergola around our Forest Circle, the outdoor garden Wendy house, the sensory cabin, and even our large tipi perfect for birdwatching or quiet story time 📚🕊️ — every piece has helped us create a truly magical environment for our children to learn, explore, and grow.

And of course, we can’t forget our new piece that has been delivered today an 8’ x 8’ wooden mud kitchen — the heart of so many messy, creative adventures to begin 🍃👩‍🍳

🍂Leaf Man came floating by... and look what our little creators made! 🍁
After enjoying the Leaf Man story, the children gathered leaves from the garden and crafted their very own magical Leaf People! 🍂 👧 👦
With paper, glue, and leaves, their imagination came alive. ✨
So much laughter, in the air last week!💚

🍂✨ We’re so happy to say all of our children have settled back in wonderfully! A big warm welcome to both our new and returning families – it’s lovely to have you with us.

We’ve had such a fun start to the season with plenty of outdoor adventures 🌳🍎. From harvesting apples to make our very own apple juice and delicious apple crumble on the campfire 🔥, to picking fresh tomatoes from our garden – the children have really enjoyed getting hands-on with nature.

Our tuff trays have been full of exciting activities to spark curiosity and joy, while giant marble runs, PE, yoga, and dancing sessions have kept us moving and smiling. 💃🧘‍♂️🏃

Of course, our love for books continues to shine through 📚, and we even enjoyed a special trip to the park together.

Here’s to more adventures, learning, and happy memories ahead! 🌟

Outdoor Learning Day Magic!
What a fantastic day of learning, laughter, and fresh air! Families joined us for a fun-filled Outdoor Learning Day, packed with hands-on activities and unforgettable moments.
From pizza making, fruit kebabs, and crafting crowns, to going on a thrilling Bear Hunt, singing songs, and enjoying the story
“Whatever Next!” - our little learners were full of excitement!
After the story, we had a blast with our colorful parachute games, filling the preschool with giggles and joy. Then we all came together for a lovely picnic lunch, sharing smiles, and sunshine.
A huge thank you to all the wonderful families who joined us - your presence made the day truly special!

Today was pure childhood joy, messy and magical.

We are incredibly proud to share with all of our families that we are now a “Recognised Forest School Provider” fully accredited by the Forest School Association.

Not only are we passionate advocates of the Forest School movement with a genuine commitment to providing a high quality early years education to the youngest members of our community, we are now the FIRST & ONLY early years setting in Portsmouth to be awarded this highly prestigious accreditation – amazingly achieved just before our 3rd birthday!
