Every week at Willow Tree is Play week! Our curriculum is built around child-led, play-based learning to encourage children to explore, discover, develop and grow at their own pace and in line with their own interests and ideas 💡

The theme of The Early Years Alliance Play Week was "Books and Beyond". Sharing stories and looking at books is part of our every day in all rooms at Willow Tree, inspiring a love of books, stories, songs and rhymes from babies onwards 📖

I am Healthy 🍓

One of our Willow Tree Values focuses on being healthy.

Just today, the Kingfishers have:

- gone out on a walk 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
- listened to ocean sounds and taken part in some deep breathing and relaxation 🌊🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️
- enjoyed some dancing 🎶🕺💃
- made fruit kebabs for snack 🍎🍉🍓🍌🥝

Just a few ways we encourage children to be healthy in mind and body 💚

Today for lunch, the perfect Autumn meal; a delicious, homemade Macaroni Cheese with vegetables (with a dairy-free option for those who require it) 😋

Our new menu has been devised with the support of our recently appointed PANCo (Physical Activity & Nutrition Coordinator) to ensure that children are being offered balanced and nutritious food each day in line with current advice and guidance.
