A VERY SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM SKID ROW 🌱

Ahead of our production of Little Shop of Horrors, our cast received a very special good luck message from and , who are currently appearing in Little Shop of Horrors themselves!

We shared this with our cast just before their first show on Saturday and, as you can imagine, they were absolutely THRILLED! 🥹

It felt even more special knowing that both productions were opening at almost exactly the same time! Two companies, two Skid Rows and a whole lot of Audrey II! 🌱

A huge thank you to Marcus and Jed for taking the time to send this. It meant so much to our young cast and gave them an extra boost before stepping onto that stage.

And judging by the weekend they went on to have - we think the good luck worked!

From one Little Shop company to another - thank you!

A message from the Principal…

Two shows down. One more to go!

This afternoon, this incredible company will step onto Skid Row together for the final time and I could not be prouder of them.

Since we first came together back in May, they have created something truly special. The talent within this cast is extraordinary but it’s the hard work, commitment and passion they have poured into this production that has made it what it is.

They have challenged themselves. They have supported one another and they have laughed, a lot! Somewhere along the way, they became a company.

Watching everything come together this weekend has been one of the greatest privileges of my role as Principal of Performers. Seeing these young people walk onto that stage with such confidence, professionalism and joy has made every rehearsal, every note and every slightly chaotic moment completely worth it.

But none of it happens without the extraordinary team around me.

To our Director, Ed Chase - thank you for your vision, creativity and unwavering belief in this cast. You have challenged them as performers, encouraged them to make brave choices and brought out performances that I know they will remember for a very long time. You have smashed your first directorial role!

To our Choreographer and Vice-Principal, Alex Fentiman - thank you for bringing Skid Row to life through your choreography, for your energy and attention to detail and for constantly pushing our students to be the very best performers they can be. As always, thank you for being alongside me through every part of the process, I’d be lost without you.

To our Musical Director, Shelley Hart - thank you for taking this incredible score and giving our cast the confidence to absolutely own it. For the harmonies, the musicianship, the encouragement and the countless hours spent making sure they sound as brilliant as they do.

Three exceptional creatives who have each left their mark on this production. I am lucky to work alongside them but more importantly, lucky to call them my friends.

To our wonderful Lucy, who has supported us and our performers throughout including taking on the role as the Audrey II puppeteer, our brilliant stagehands, chaperones and front-of-house team; and every single person working behind the scenes. THANK YOU. Theatre takes an enormous number of people to make it happen and I am incredibly grateful to every one of you.

Finally, to our cast… Look at what you created.

Be proud of yourselves. Be proud of each other. Take it all in tomorrow because you only get one last time together on that stage.

And what a way to finish - with a FULL HOUSE! 💚

Go out there and give them absolutely everything you’ve got.

One final trip to Skid Row at 1pm - let’s make it count. 🌱

Last night we had our final dress rehearsal and we couldn’t resist giving you a little glimpse of what’s waiting inside Mushnik’s Flower Shop.

Months of rehearsals, an incredible cast, a brilliant creative team and a whole lot of blood, sweat and plant food have brought us to this moment.

CAST COUNTDOWN - DAY 6! 🌱

IT’S SHOW DAY!

After months of rehearsals, countless hours of hard work and six days of introducing our incredible cast, there are just two people left to meet…

Harry Knight as Seymour Krelborn
Ellie Bowley as Audrey

At the heart of Little Shop of Horrors are Seymour and Audrey - two people dreaming of something more than life on Skid Row… until the arrival of one very unusual plant changes everything. 🌱

Harry and Ellie have poured so much into bringing these iconic characters to life. From the comedy and chaos to the quieter, heartfelt moments, we are incredibly proud of the performances they have created.

And today, after all those rehearsals, Seymour and Audrey finally get to tell their story to an audience. 💚

To Harry, Ellie and our entire Little Shop cast, this is your moment. Enjoy every second of it. We couldn’t be prouder of what you have created together.

The rehearsals are over. The set is built. Audrey II is hungry…

CAST COUNTDOWN - DAY 5! 🌱

IT’S DRESS REHEARSAL DAY! ✨

Tonight, the costumes go on, the lights come up and we run the show one final time before welcoming our audiences to Skid Row TOMORROW!

And for Day 5 of our Cast Countdown, it’s time to introduce two characters who certainly make their mark on Seymour’s story…

Cohen Bates as Orin Scrivello, D.D.S.
James Brown as Mr. Mushnik

Cohen takes on the role of Audrey’s leather-clad, larger-than-life dentist boyfriend Orin Scrivello - a man who perhaps enjoys his job just a little too much! 🦷

James is Mr. Mushnik, owner of the struggling Mushnik’s Skid Row Florists, whose fortunes suddenly begin to change when Seymour discovers one very strange little plant. 🌱

Both have created brilliantly entertaining characters and we cannot wait for you to see them as we enter our FINAL rehearsal tonight!

Tomorrow… THE SHOP OPENS. 🌱
