This term, our Year 6 children are becoming budding engineers in their Design and Technology lessons!

Following their DT unit, the children are exploring different types of bridges and investigating how structures can be made strong, stable and secure. 💪🌉

🪚📏 Year 5 DT Update! ⚙️✨

This week, Year 5 have been busy creating the frames for their automata toys! They carefully measured and constructed each part, and were very pleased to find that their measurements were pretty spot on! 🎯👏

We can’t wait to see their automata toys begin to take shape!

🎨➕📐 Year 4 have been busy developing their skills across the curriculum!

In Art, they have been practising their shading techniques, exploring how to create different tones and add highlights to their work. ✏️🎨

In Maths, they have been making great use of their resources and using the squares in their books carefully to help neatly lay out their column methods. ➕➖📏

🍂🐻 Our Year R children have been very busy! 🎨✨

Year R have created their own family portraits as part of their All About Me topic, celebrating all the special people in their families. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🖍️

They have also been exploring the changing seasons and used paints to create some beautiful autumn trees. 🍁🎨🌳

And yesterday, Year R went on a bear hunt in our outdoor classroom! 🐻🌿🔎 It was very exciting and lots of fun!

🪚⚙️ Design Technology in Year 5! ⚙️🪚

Our Year 5 children have been busy developing their sawing skills in their DT lessons as they begin making their very own automata toys! 🧸🔨

They have been learning how to use tools safely and accurately, showing lots of concentration, patience and perseverance along the way. We can’t wait to see their automata creations come to life! 🌟👏

⚽🏆 PORTSMOUTH PRIMARY SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! 🏆⚽

A selection of our Year 6 girls were invited to GOALS to compete in the Portsmouth Primary School Football Tournament, playing in the Under 11 Girls’ division against other schools from across Portsmouth.

We are incredibly proud to share that they came 1st place! 🥇🎉 What a fantastic achievement!

The girls brought home a trophy for our school 🏆 and each received their very own medal to keep. 🥇

A huge well done to all of the girls who took part – we are so proud of you! ⚽👏💙

Our Year 2 children have been busy learning all about the coordinating conjunctions ‘and’, ‘but’ and ‘or’! 🌟

They have been playing some fun games to practise completing sentences and, importantly, explaining and reasoning why they chose each conjunction. 🧠💭
