⚠️ Urgent recall: ORB Funkee sand toys
A range of ORB Funkee stretchy sand-filled toys has been recalled after it was found that the sand may be contaminated with a small quantity of asbestos.
Asbestos is a banned substance because it poses a risk to health even at low levels of exposure.
Affected toys include:
• Glow-in-the-dark Jumbo Monkey – Product code 17741
• Funkee Small Axolotl – Product code 17459
• Funkee Monkee Mega – Product code 41929
• Galaxy Jumbo Monkey – Product code 17736
• Gold Jumbo Monkey – Product code 17451
• Funkee Small Dogs – Product code 42228
• Funkee Jumbo Dog – Product code 17409
These toys were sold between July 2025 and February 2026 through The Entertainer, Tesco, Matalan, Hobbycraft and British Garden Centres.
If you have one of these toys, stop using it immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.
Disposal guidance
• If the sand is still in its packaging, place it in a heavy-duty plastic bag, double-tape it securely and label it clearly.
• If the sand has been used, clean the area with wet cloths to avoid creating dust, wearing gloves and a mask. Double-bag the sand and all cleaning materials.
• Keep children away from the area until it has been cleaned.
You can dispose of the product in household waste or return it to the retailer for a full refund.

Addo Play Limited is recalling its Out To Impress Sand Art Creations kit after the sand was found to potentially contain a small quantity of asbestos.

Sold between August 2023 and February 2026
Sold by Early Learning Centre, The Entertainer, Tesco, Matalan and M&S
What you should do:
-If you have this product, stop using it immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.
-If the sand is still in its packaging, place it in a heavy-duty plastic bag, double tape it securely, label it clearly and store it safely out of reach of children.
-If the sand has been used, clean any affected areas using wet cloths to avoid generating dust. Wear gloves and a mask while cleaning. Double bag the sand, gloves, mask, and cloths.
-Keep children and others away from any area where the sand has been used until it has been fully cleaned.
-Return the product to the place of purchase for a refund. If you are unable to return it, follow the disposal instructions above and contact the retailer you purchased from for further guidance.
-The Entertainer requests that customers do not return affected products to store, but dispose of them in their household waste and contact them for a full refund.

⚠️ Urgent recall: Stretcherz toys - Sold at ASDA
Stretcherz is recalling certain toys after testing found the sand-like material inside some products may contain trace levels of asbestos.
Asbestos is a hazardous material and should not be present in consumer products. While no injuries have been reported, the recall is being carried out as a precaution.

⚠️ URGENT RECALL: Peppa Pig and Hey Duggee children’s books. Ladybird is recalling copies from specific printings of several Peppa Pig and Hey Duggee titles due to a potential choking hazard.
A manufacturing fault means the glitter varnish on the cover can lift and peel off, creating small flakes that could be dangerous for young children.

⚠️ Correction: SMA First Infant Milk Recall Update. This post has been edited with the most up-to-date information.
Our earlier post contained an error in the product name. The correct details are:
- SMA First Infant Milk 800g
- Batch code: 53390346AB
- Best before: December 2027
- Distributed in Northern Ireland only
You can find the batch code at the base of the product.
What you should do:
- Check batch codes for all recalled products
- Stop using any affected product immediately, even if your baby appears well
- If your formula was prescribed, consult a pharmacist or medical professional before changing formula
Cereulide is a toxin that cannot be destroyed by boiling water or cooking. It can cause rapid onset of nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps.
