Bermuda Takes Steps Toward Becoming the World’s First On-Chain National Economy 09/07/2026

Bermuda is increasingly seen as a leader in blockchain regulation and the development of crypto-based financial services.
In January 2026, the country’s prime minister, David Burt, announced plans to transition Bermuda toward becoming the world’s first fully on-chain national economy.
The move to being on-chain is viewed as a way of lowering transaction costs, improving access to dollar-denominated payments, and keeping economic value circulating locally.

Bermuda Takes Steps Toward Becoming the World’s First On-Chain National Economy Bermuda has long had a positive attitude toward crypto and is pursuing plans to become the world’s first fully on-chain national economy.

Blockchain Doesn’t Hide Crime. It Helps Expose It | BusinessMirror 04/07/2026

One of the biggest myths about blockchain technology is how its anonymity is used for shady activities. From reports about individuals and bad actors allegedly attempting to move illicit funds using digital assets, to narratives stating that blockchain provides criminals a way to disappear.

It is an understandable assumption, but it is also one of the biggest misconceptions about blockchain technology.

The Architecture of Agentic Commerce 21/06/2026

AI is evolving from a passive "co-pilot" into an autonomous "driver" of the economy. In fact, industry leaders predict that the primary users of blockchains will soon be AI agents, utilising the blockchain as a secure back-end while hiding its complexities from human users entirely. Here are the three core takeaways for today's episode:

• AI Will Dominate Real-World Assets (RWAs): AI agents are poised to take over the autonomous management of tokenised real-world assets, a market that has already surpassed $25 billion in on-chain value. Instead of relying on humans, these agents will instantly verify asset issuance, execute complex cross-chain arbitrage strategies, and even vote in protocol governance on behalf of users.

• Tokens Are the New AI Passports: To support this new era of "agentic commerce," financial giants like Visa and Mastercard are building trusted frameworks using tokenised credentials. Token Service Providers (TSPs) are becoming a critical security layer, verifying that an AI agent actually has the human's permission to spend funds before a smart contract transaction goes through.

• The 2026 Cybersecurity Crisis: Giving autonomous AI direct access to smart contracts introduces massive risks. Because agents operate at machine speed, a compromised bot or a simple AI "hallucination" could drain a protocol's treasury before human developers even get an alert. To survive, the industry must establish strict cryptographic guardrails and treat AI agents exactly like human employees—giving them specific identities and heavily restricted access limits.
