We are over the moon to finally be able to share our latest Ofsted report.
https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/16/2768105
We are very proud to have achieved 5 strong grades. We feel the inspector captured our ethos perfectly and the words she used to describe our little setting are beautiful.
We feel seen. Our aims and priorities were identified, our staff were recognised for their incredible hard work. The children are at the heart of everything at HiPpY KiDs.
We did it! ✌️🥳
Happy Reading!

We don’t tend to do politics on the HiPpY KiDs account but I’ve made an exception today and shared on our stories. Now I’d like to share on the grid too.
We are an inclusive Early Years setting and I will be anti racist until the day I die.
Refugees are welcome here, in Brighton and always at HiPpY KiDs.
Love Wins Always ❤️✌️☮️

We are still here!
We may have been a little quiet on social media but we have been exceedingly busy here at HiPpY KiDs HQ.
At Playschool, every child spends a substantial time outside in our shady natural forest garden, we also do weekly messy play and yoga sessions. Our children play in mixed age groups, there is a child led curriculum and a relationship pedagogy based on nurture and love.
We recently had a glorious OFSTED inspection that we can’t wait to share with you all. When the most recent report is published you will understand how I can include those words in the same sentence 💚
We have welcomed new members of staff and new babies this term. Everyone is settling into our Hippy Kids family well.
We have some limited space for over two’s available in our Playschool from September. These spaces are reserved for full day contracts of 3+ days a week. We accept government funding and offer contracts All Year Round or Term Time only.
Please get in touch if you would like to visit our beautiful Playschool and forest garden to discuss reserving a space for your child.

Today we dissected some Owl Pellets!
The children had an amazing time finding skulls and bones and identifying them using the worksheets provided by
It was absolutely fascinating and was a great way to satisfy curious minds (children and adults alike!)

Yesterday the children enjoyed homemade pesto with their pasta. This was a very special recipe as the pesto was made by Charlie from foraged wild three cornered leeks.
A group of children foraged the plants from our local graveyard last week, they are a cross between wild garlic and spring onions.
It was fair to say the meal was a success (the pasta was enjoyed by some of us grown ups too!)

There is no messy play tomorrow. Apologies, we will see you all next week for more messy fun 🤩
