🎶 Meet our Junior Choir! 🎶

Our new Junior Choir had their very first practice today, and it was so lovely to hear their wonderful voices filling the corridors!

A big thank you to Mrs Crutchley, Miss Laverty and Miss Watters for leading our junior choir this year. The boys and girls are so excited to get stuck in, and we’re looking forward to hearing lots more from them!

📖 The Book Fair is well underway, and the children are really enjoying browsing the shelves! There is a wonderful buzz around the books (and, of course, the stationery!). 🖊️

The fair will be open daily until Friday 16th October, so there is still plenty of time to come and browse. Thank you to everyone who has supported it so far! 📚

🌟 Meet Our New Student Council! 🌟

Following Monday’s elections, we’re delighted to introduce Portrush Primary School’s new Student Council!

Well done to everyone who put themselves forward and took part in the elections. A very close result in P6 meant a tie-break, so this year we have three P6 councillors joining the team!

Congratulations to all our newly elected councillors. We’re looking forward to hearing your ideas and seeing you represent the pupil voice across our school. 💙

A special thank you to Mrs Kane for organising this year’s elections and for leading our Student Council throughout the 2026–27 academic year. 👏

✨ 📖 ATTENTION P4-7 PUPILS - Let’s get reading! 📖✨

Our exciting NEW Autumn Reading Competition kicks off on Monday 12th October! We are challenging all P4-7 pupils to read more, grow their words, and aim for an amazing prize.

The top two pupils from each class with the highest word count on 'Accelerated Reader' by Friday 23rd October will win a brilliant trip to Morelli's! 🍦🎉

Encourage your children to pick up a book, log their words, and see how far their reading can take them. Who is ready for some delicious ice cream? 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

Check out the poster for all the details. Good luck, everyone!

It is an absolute pleasure having them with us, and they have become a fantastic addition to the warm, happy atmosphere at Portrush Primary School. We really look forward to seeing their happy faces and hearing their lively chatter every day!
