Our new pre-school children have settled in really well as have our returning children. We have noticed their play preferences and how they communicate and interact. We join in and support them when needed. For now, the most important factor is ensuring an effective settling in process in order that they are happy at play in our environment and feel part of Causeway Pre-school.
Children are beginning to show how to take turns, and share with their peers.
Fine motor skills are beginning to develop by using a wide range of creative materials, using peg boards etc
Loose parts from home was added into water play, what a fabulous way to promote how we show self-care for our environment, and to reuse/recycle accordingly - all whilst learning through play. Staff observed new mathematical language - “it’s full”, “I need more”, “it’s so heavy”….
I hope you all have a lovely extended weekend.

Kind regards
Pre-school team
