Lochalsh & Skye Housing Association holds a regular Kyle Outreach at the Lighthouse Café, on the first Wednesday of every month from 12–2pm, all year round.

Pop in for a chat with LSHA staff. We can offer support with things like budgeting and income maximisation, housing and tenancy matters, energy costs, forms and lots more.

There’s no appointment needed. Whether you have something specific you’d like help with or you’re simply not sure where to start, come along and speak to us.

If you need a hand with forms, benefits, income maximisation, housing questions or anything that may be affecting your tenancy, pop in for a friendly chat.

Alex can help you look at what support may be available and make sure you’re not missing out on money you may be entitled to.

We have been advised that there is currently no water supply in the Edinbane area. This has been reported to Scottish Water, and we are awaiting further updates.

If you are affected, please report the issue directly to Scottish Water if you have not already done so.

The new electricity price cap starts from 1st July so it’s important to ensure your meter readings are submitted and updated with energy suppliers.

Properties with smart meters that are fully functional should not be affected as they provide accurate information for billing.

Many older smart meters are providing estimated bills due to the communication hub not having 4G signal capabilities, so rely on the customer submitting regular readings.

We would recommend you request an updated hub to be installed as some of the best tariffs available require a meter capable of sending a reading every 30minutes.

If you still have an older traditional-type meter then it’s important to submit a reading as soon as possible to prevent new increased rates being applied to previous usage.
