One of the questions I've been asked most often by parents is: "Where do I even start?"

Whether it's understanding SEND, building confidence, navigating school anxiety or simply trying to support your child through education, I know how overwhelming it can feel.

That's why, through my Jason Sharpe page, I'm creating a growing library of free resources, articles, videos and parent talks to help families feel more informed and supported.

My latest article explores a question many parents have never stopped to consider:

"Should Every Teenager Have a Mentor?"

It looks at why so many young people struggle with confidence and direction during their teenage years, and why another trusted adult can sometimes make all the difference.

That's exactly why we're hosting our GCSE Next Steps Event in Portishead this evening.

You make a total net loss of £11,800 (leaving you with £88,200)

The Mathematical Breakdown:

The Upfront Fee: 2% of £100,000 is £2,000. This leaves you with a starting investment principal of £98,000.

Year 1 Growth (+50%): Half of £98,000 is £49,000.
£98,000 + £49,000 = £147,000 at the end of Year 1.

Year 2 Decline (-40%):
40% of £147,000 must be deducted.
10% = £14,700 → 40% = £14,700 × 4 = £58,800.

£147,000 - £58,800 = £88,200}

The Net Result: £100,000 - £88,200 = £11,800
