Little Footsteps Nursery Est September 2007 and located at our pyle nursery since May 2015 privately owned by two sisters

Stacey barker-platt and Corinne Coulter are Directors of the nursery aswell as being sisters and working together in our wonderful adventure since 2007. We have a four team of management along with a baby unit manager, which lead into leaders of each section then our nursery nurses. This enables us to maintain the same ethos in all of our nursery and maintain working relationships with both parent

s/carers and staff. our staff encourage our children to experience wide ranges of activities that incorporate all areas of learning and provide opportunities for them to explore at their own pace. we focus on child led learning and allowing their curiosity to encourage their development. Our baby room encourages a home from home experience with a holistic approach. It has a warm and cosy feel that allows our babies to relax in their environment, we focus on love care and attention. Our toddler room also recently renovated to a more calm and nurture environment provides learning through the foundation learning curriculum and developing risky play and outdoor learning
Our preschool room is based around the Foundation learning curriculum providing lots of hands on experiences inside and outside for our preschoolers, using real resources and invitations to play to which we enhance daily. we also provide a before and after school club to local schools, at the moment cefn, mynydd, porthcawl, nottage and west park and holiday club
Within our setting we encourage individual learning targets for each child based on their assessments and individual needs and encourage a very positive working with parents relationship
We have adapted a new role for information using a class dojo that allows us to share information as a nursery but also Individually sharing moments and memories of your children’s times with us

Aww, what can I say about our Chloe… what an absolutely beautiful soul and beautiful person you are 🤍

Chloe is one of the kindest, most nurturing, loyal and passionate people you could ever meet.
She will always go out of her way to help anyone and everyone, and nothing is ever too much trouble for her 🤍

Chloe started her journey with us when she was just coming out of school, completing her Level 3 in Childcare with us😍
By just 19 years old, she had become the leader of our baby room, caring for our littlest babies with so much love, patience and dedication🥹🤍

She didn’t just look after them… she loved them, nurtured them and made the most beautiful memories with them and their families
She truly is the epitome of what a nursery nurse should be 🤍

For the past couple of years, Chloe has been following another dream and working towards her nursing degree, while still continuing to work with us on the days she can
We couldn’t be prouder of the amazing young woman she has become and everything she is achieving for herself too🩺🤍

On a personal level, I will forever be grateful for the love, loyalty, kindness and support Chloe has always shown me and our nursery.
People like you are very special, Chloe, and we are incredibly lucky that your journey started with us and that you are still such a big part of our Little Footsteps family 🤍

The biggest Happy Birthday to our lovely Rheanna! 🥰

Rheanna is one of our newest members of the Little Footsteps family, joining us after completing her degree in Early Childhood Studies and wanting to gain more experience within a nursery.

She has fitted into our team so naturally and is such a quiet, kind and caring member of staff who our little ones absolutely love. 🤍

We’re so happy that she has now decided to continue her journey in childcare and has signed up to complete her Level 3 — and we’re very lucky to have her doing it with us. 🥰

Hope you have the best birthday Rheanna and enjoy every minute of your day! 🎂🥂

Working in childcare is a job we take incredibly seriously. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes to keep our little ones safe, happy, cared for and learning every single day🤍

🎉MEET OUR LITTLE FOOTSTEPS FAMILY 🎉
Behind every happy little face, cuddle, milestone, messy play session and magical memory is our AMAZING team. 🤍

We’re fun, caring, a little bit crazy 😂, emotional (especially at graduations 🥹), patient, nurturing and always ready with a cuddle when it’s needed most.

Being a nursery nurse is so much more than a job , we become their cheerleaders, comforters, playmates, teachers and, of course, their nursery “aunties”. 🥰

Every member of our team brings something different and special, but we all have one thing in common… we absolutely adore what we do and the little people we get to share our days with. 🌈🧸

It’s important we recognise when our staff go above and beyond.

We dont post enough how wonderful our staff and team are but we do recognise it with in house so moving forward we plan to share as much as we can as we are so proud and grateful for all their hard work and dedication.

Our Holiday Club children are making the BEST summer memories! 😍🤍
With this gorgeous hot weather, there’s nothing better than being outdoors in the garden, splashing in the pool, keeping cool and having so much fun with their friends! 💦☀️🌿

🧑‍🎓🤍 OUR BEAUTIFUL GRADUATES 🤍🧑‍🎓

I can’t believe it’s been nearly a month since we celebrated one of my all-time favourite days — our beautiful little ones’ graduation! 🥹🎓

Thank you so much to everyone who came and shared such a special and emotional day with us. It really was a day filled with so much love, pride, laughter and, of course, a few tears! 🤍

Our graduates are now having the best summer making precious memories before they begin their exciting new chapter of big school in September. 🏫✨

Watching them grow, learn, find their little personalities and become ready for their next adventure has been such a privilege.

Thank you for choosing Little Footsteps and trusting us to be a small part of your little one’s story and one of their very first chapters. 🤍

🤢 SICKNESS BUGS & THE 48-HOUR RULE 🤢

A little reminder to all our Little Footsteps families 💚 If your child has vomiting and/or diarrhoea, they must remain at home until they have been completely symptom-free for 48 hours after their LAST episode and are well enough to return to nursery.

🦠 Tummy bugs can spread incredibly quickly in a nursery environment, and children can still be infectious even when they appear to be feeling better. Following the full 48-hour exclusion period helps us protect all of our children, families and staff and reduce the risk of an outbreak.

💧 While poorly, encourage plenty of fluids, lots of rest and good handwashing with soap and water.

48 HOURS CLEAR = 48 HOURS AFTER THE LAST VOMIT OR DIARRHOEA. ⏰

Guidance in line with Public Health Wales infection prevention recommendations💚
