We are always delighted to hear from former pupils and today we have been contacted by Nick (Nicholas) Rees who attended St John’s from 1969 to 1972.

He’d love to hear from anyone who attended around that time and may remember him.

We are sad to report that this week the St John’s School community said goodbye to Mrs Janet Anderson; a very special lady. Many former pupils ( day pupils and boarders) parents and staff will have fond memories and great respect for Janet.

She first began her job at the school in 1968 and hardly ever missed a day in the many years she was there. Her role developed rapidly, being secretary, bursar, organising uniform and trophies, scoring at sports days and swimming galas, and an endless list of other duties.

Janet was always kind, efficient, helpful and cheerful. Her dedication and knowledge of all things to do with St John’s was remarkable. She clearly remembered every pupil, sibling and parent and would even know if they were a Briton or Saxon!

Thank you to Janet for all that she did for us at St John’s. Our sympathy goes to Graham and all the Family.
