We are running our Sports day on Monday and Tuesday (21/22) and we ask that all children wear trainers/shoes suitable for running in.
As restrictions are still in place and parents can’t participate this year, will send you photos and videos through email of the event.
The photographer will be in on Wednesday to take personal and graduation photos.

Admissions

Little Oaks Preschool offers places for children in their final and penultimate preschool year. Fee Paying places can be applied for anytime, just drop us an email or text and we can forward on the information and enrolment documents you need.
If you need a government funded pre-school place for September 2021, you can apply online between 12 noon on Thursday 7January 2021 and 12 noon on Friday 29th January 2021. Further information is available on the EA website under the Admissions section at http://www.eani.org.uk/parents/admissions. Although applications online are preferred, especially during this pandemic period, if you can’t apply online for any reason please email, text or phone and we will be able to help you.

Admissions Information on the procedures for pre-school/school admissions in the school year 2021/2022, with post primary information to follow on Tuesday 2 February 2021.

Hi everyone
I have sent messages to all our 2019/20 class about our graduation/meet up day, please let us know if you can attend so I can arrange times for everyone. For those who can’t or would prefer not to please let us know as we will arrange for their end of year goodies to be delivered. Thank you all, keep safe and enjoy your summer x

Today should have been the start of our last week, all fun and games and ending with emotional goodbyes, it’s sad that our 2019/20 year hasn’t got to experience all what the 3rd term usually brings.
I’m hoping to organise a day at the end of July where parent and child can come in, collect their end of year goodies (take a photo in their graduation gowns if you want to) and we get to say a goodbye, it’s not what we wanted but at least we get to say thank you and goodbye to all our wonderful children and their brilliant parents. We will keep you posted about days and times.
We are only just into the community centre so have to set up all the usual social distancing and cleaning routines hence the later date.
We hope to see as many of you as possible.

2020/21 year-The final letters for funded places are due to be sent out on 8/6/20, please confirm if you are accepting the place ASAP to [email protected] or 07790352185. We also have paying Pre Pre-School places available in the morning session, if you would like to apply for a place please contact us for information and an enrolment form. If you know of anyone who would be interested please share.
Open days will be during the summer period dates to be advised.

2020/2021 school year intake
Hi everyone
We would like to advise that due to the schools current working restrictions, the education board are sending the letters this year for stage 1 funded preschool and P1 placements. They will be sent out today for delivery tomorrow, you can also go onto the parents portal tomorrow to confirm where your child has been offered a place. The acceptance is done via email but for anyone placed with Little Oaks you can also phone/text me, Dianne, on 07790352185. If you know of anyone who didn’t receive a place at all please feel free to share our details for stage 2 applications.
We will be working on our Pre preschool applications as soon as we can, once we know how many funded places are needed for our morning session. If anyone hasn’t put in an application for a pre preschool place yet, I am still working from home and can offer advice and information, send out applications via post or email and can receive them back either way.
Hope everyone is keeping safe and hope we can get back to some kind of normality soon, we are really missing our children.

The staff of Little Oaks would like to thank everyone for their kind messages, cards and gifts over this last week, it has been a really strange and sad week, especially yesterday. The last day is normally a lovely day spent with all the children, sad to see them leave but happy they have had a great year and are ready to move on to their next stage of learning. We really hope this won’t be our last time together, we will continue to post when any new updates are announced.
We will be sending a text to all our funded children regarding the provision the education department is making for children of key workers. I would advise that they really would prefer children to stay at home at this time but also need key workers to be able to do their jobs. If you can provide care for your child at home then please do, just not with anyone classed as vulnerable at this time. However if the option of child care is required we should be able to advise you of where this is possible. We need to gather the information first and pass it on to the relevant departments.
As always keep safe, help others in need where you can and we will hopefully see you all again soon x

Little Oaks are sad to announce that we will be closing on Friday 20th March at 3.00pm until further notice.
We really hope we can return before the end of the school year, it will give us a chance to spend some more time with your children before saying a final goodbye. We will continue to post any further news on this page both for this and the next school year.
We have really enjoyed working with your children and watching them progress and blossom over the last two terms, they are all a credit to you.

Photos-they will be delivered to Little Oaks tomorrow morning. If your children are not attending during the last 2 days please let us know if you will be able to call down for them, I can arrange a hand over in the main hall or car park as no one else will be in the building.

Finally we would like to thank you all for your support this year and hope the future is kind to us all.

Little oaks will still be open tomorrow. The government are announcing daily updates and these will at some point will effect us but for now we will stay open for as long as possible. We understand parents are making their own choices whether to attend or not and each family should do what it right for them.
We will announce any changes on this page and through text message.

Coronavirus update.
Little oaks will remain open until either the government, social services or the council, who control the building, advise otherwise. If there are any changes we will advise parents immediately.
In the meantime we will continue with the advise from the health authority and ask that all parents and children wash their hands in the bathrooms in the corridor before entering Little Oaks and we will continue with the control measures during the sessions.
We would advise as per our attendance and infection control policies all parents are required to advise of any absences and the reasons as well as not bringing your child to school if they are unwell.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during this period. As always we are available for any questions or queries.
