Michael's Glasgow Cherry Laurels went in last autumn and have been growing on through the year. Bare-root is the move for autumn planting: 30–50% cheaper than pot-grown, and plants establish faster in cold winter soil. Same A+ grade, multi-stem.

Mrs M planted these Cherry Laurels beside a brick wall in Devon. South-facing brick holds daytime heat and releases it overnight — a microclimate 2–3°C warmer than open ground. Cherry Laurel responds with noticeably faster spring growth.

Our Cherry Laurel 40–60cm in a 5-litre pot = £16.95 each. A 10-metre hedge at 2 plants per metre = 20 plants, ~£340 delivered free UK & Ireland. Garden-centre equivalents sit at £25–35 each. We grow them, you save the middleman.

Michael's Cherry Laurels in Glasgow screened a suburban back garden behind a mature cherry tree. A+ grade, multi-stem, same plants we raise on the Portadown nursery.

3 metres at 2 plants per metre = 6 plants. Under £100 for Cherry Laurel, 90 minutes to plant. DM us the metres and we'll send the plant count + quote.

August to-do list for anyone planting a hedge this autumn.

Glenn's Cherry Laurels in Bath were pot-grown 100–120cm — premium starter size for instant structure. A+ grade, packed at our yard in Portadown, ready to plant on arrival.

The August prep move: measure your hedge line, work out plant count at 2 per metre single row, order before bare-root rush mid-September. Saves you the back-order queue + saves you money.

August is hedge-prep month.

Mrs M's Cherry Laurels in Devon were planted in spring and started putting on visible new growth within 8 weeks.

If you plant in August or early September, the roots establish before winter dormancy and you get a head start that spring plantings don't. Bare-root season opens mid-September — save 30–50% versus pot-grown if you can wait a few weeks.
