Back to school for Mack 🐾

The 26/27 term started today for our therapy dog Mack- much to the delight of pupils and staff!

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying spending time with Mack.

To top off the day, Mack was delighted to hand over his first PAWsitive noticing card.

Looking forward to more Mack time in school next week.

The Friends of Killicomaine group will hold its first meeting of the new school year on Thursday 10 September at 7.00 pm in the school staffroom.
We would like to extend a warm invitation to all current and new parents to come along and support this important part of our school community. The group plays a valuable role in supporting school activities and helping to create opportunities for our pupils throughout the year.
This is a great chance to get involved, meet other parents, and learn more about the exciting events and activities planned for the year ahead.
Whether you are a long-standing member or attending for the first time, you will be made very welcome.

PLANNING FOR START OF TERM?

KJHS Breakfast Club – A Great Way to Start the Day!

Need to drop your child off early? Why not let them join us for breakfast, a chat, the chance to make new friends and a positive start to their school day.

Natasha Overend leads our Breakfast Club and is also part of our Canteen team. We are lucky to have her and she brings care, commitment and plenty of fun too!

We would love to see our new Year 8 pupils joining us and, of course, our Year 9 and Year 10 are always very welcome especially existing members !💛🖤❤️

A little reminder about arrival times:

School doors open at 8:40am.

Pupils should not be on the school site before this time unless they are attending Breakfast Club or one of our pre-school activities, such as Library or Table Tennis.

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, the school day begins at 9:00am in Riley Hall. Thursday it is 9:15am.

Once your child arrives:

Get in → Drop school bag in cloakrooms → Head to Riley Hall

Please make sure your child allows enough time to get organised, drop their bag and arrive at assembly promptly and ready for the day.

What a great morning we had welcoming all of our Year 8 pupils!
It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as everyone arrived. Mrs Murphy spoke to all the pupils in the Riley Hall before they headed off to meet their form teachers and begin their new timetables.
Break time was a lovely opportunity for everyone to gather in the Riley Hall, catch up with friends and enjoy their first day together.
Have a fantastic weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning. Doors open from 8.40am.
