Well it’s my final day as the Registered Person of my Childcare business Baglan Buddies as I hand it over to my Niece Katie James and the dedicated Team of Staff who I’m sure will continue to provide an excellent service for Children / Young People , Parents / Carers.
Twenty years of caring for children & young people in my After School Childcare Club whilst at the same time working 34 years for Social Services. Today I fully Retire to explore and enjoy my time now.
I can catch a train , bus (It’s free ) 😄 or drive to places I have not had the chance to visit as I have rushed around to meet the needs of others for so long. I can have longer days with my Daughter and Grandchildren who live in Lydney , and no longer tell her that I have to leave quickly to be back for buddies .
I have treasured my time looking after so many children & young people throughout my career and they all leave a place in my heart along with their Parents / Carers.
Just to reassure my five year 6 leavers in July , some who I have looked after for 8 years, I will be there up the school to say goodbye to you I promise. Lots of Love to you all . Denise. 😘 x x

Ramadan is a Muslim observation and is also the name of the ninth month in the Muslim Lunar Calender. Ramadan begins with a crescent moon and also ends with it . The end of Ramadan , Eid will be celebrated at the start of May.
It is important for children & young people to learn about all the different cultures and religions across the world as it helps to understand more about the world in which they live and develops their understanding of life in modern Britain. The children & young people had lots of fun & enjoyed completing their Mehndi ( Henna) art work today.

Well here they are ! Our pictures of the 20th Anniversary Celebration Party of opening Baglan Buddies in 2003. Simon Sparkles the Magician was a massive hit with the 46 children & young people we care for throughout the week. They giggled throughout and took part in the magic show.
I have cared for so many children & young people over the years and some are now Mothers & Fathers themselves and they are all so precious to me every single one of them. 💙💗
I would like to sincerely thank all my staff who have been with me over the years for their incredible care & loyalty that they gave the children & young people in Baglan Buddies. Lots of Love Denise. xx

Saying goodbye to these precious girls as they move on to Comprehensive. We have looked after you for nearly 8 years and you have been a part of our family in Baglan Buddies. 😢
