This is just a quick reminder that if you would like your child/children to be members of one of our Cerdd NPT Music centres this year, THEY WILL NEED TO BE REGISTERED BEFORE THEY CAN ATTEND.

Please log into your account at https://cerddnpt.paritor.com/ and choose your music centre to enrol. The cost will be £75 per year which can be split into 3 monthly payments. Please remember that one payment covers membership of all our music centres but for health and safety reasons, pupils MUST BE REGISTERED FOR EVERY MUSIC CENTRE THAT THEY ARE ATTENDING.

There is a 50% discount available for siblings of registered pupils and discounts for those pupils entitled to free school meals with eligible benefits. We don't want cost to be a barrier - please get in touch if we can help.

If you have already registered, we look forward to seeing you all back at music centre week commencing 21 September 2026.

Busking on the Riverside 🎶

We’d love to give more young musicians the chance to get up and play at The Stables this summer.

So, on sunny Sundays throughout August, we’re opening up the Riverside for busking from 1pm.

If you’re a young musician and fancy a 30-minute slot, send us a message and we’ll get you booked in. Or, if the sun’s shining and you’re passing with your instrument, come and see us - if there’s a space free, you can play.

No big stage, no pressure - just a chance to play and share your music with everyone enjoying the Riverside.

We are looking forward to making some noise at the library on Friday. NPT Music Service will be with us at Skewen and Cwmafan Libraries for two Learn to Play session for children age 7-11.
These free events are an opportunity for children to explore and play a variety of musical instruments, including pBuzzes, boomwhackers, and glockenspiels. Children will have the chance to learn about each instrument, develop their playing skills, and work together to perform as part of a small ensemble.
Skewen is at 11:00 - 12:00
Cwmafan is at 2:30 - 3:30

BRASS BAND CENTRE - CANOLFAN PRES

Unfortunately, due to the extreme heat warning, there will be no Brass Centre tomorrow, Wednesday 24th June. Thank you for your understanding. We will see you all next week for our performance evening.

As we approach the end of the academic year, we would like to thank you for your continued support of Cerdd NPT Music and your child’s musical development. Please see the end of term arrangements below:

• Thursday 25 June — Centre Closed due to the Dŵr y Felin School Summer Concert

• Thursday 2 July — Final Rehearsal
o Play through of our latest music until 6:30pm
o Followed by a sociable pizza supper provided by the Friends of Cerdd NPT Music
o Usual finish time of 7:30pm

• Thursday 24 September — Music Centre Starts Back
o Please ensure your child has registered for membership before returning on this date

A fantastic day at our Brass Workshop yesterday at St David’s Church, Neath. Bringing pupils from all over NPT together for the day, it gave them an opportunity to play as part of a band and introduce them to our brass band centre staff. Looking forward to seeing them at our Wednesday Brass Centre at YGG Pontardawe in the future.

Diwrnod gwych yn ein Gweithdy Pres ddoe yn Eglwys Dewi Sant, Castell-nedd. Gan ddod â disgyblion o bob rhan o NPT at ei gilydd am y diwrnod, rhoddodd gyfle iddynt chwarae fel rhan o fand a’u cyflwyno i staff ein canolfan bandiau pres.
