Lots of Tots Day Nursery is owned and operated by Lots of Tots Childcare Limited. Situated at 35 Broad Street, Port Talbot, SA13 1EW; the nursery offers a range of childcare options including: full day care; before, after and wrap around school club; holiday club and sessions for children aged from birth to 12 years. English is the first language of the Day Nursery, some Welsh is taught, such as:
colours and numbers. All children are welcome including those with additional needs and those requiring one to one care. Lots of Tots staff have many years experience working with children who have additional needs. All children, parents and families applying for a place at Lots of Tots will be treated fairly regardless of race, religion, cultural preferences, disability, gender, or social status. All applications are treated individually. Places are allocated according to ages of children, specific days required, and availability of spaces in accordance with registration requirements. The Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 6:00pm. The Day Nursery is open for 52 weeks of the year including Bank Holidays when there is demand; revised operating times do run over the festive period. All staff within the Day Nursery are qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 in childcare, many of the staff have a level 5 qualification. All level 3 staff are working towards their level 5 NVQ in childcare. The management team all hold their NVQ Level 5 in Childcare Management. The children’s daily routine is based on their age and involves: Outdoor activities (weather permitting) in a local park, free play, grouped play in sand, water, painting and home corner areas, snack time, arts & crafts or cooking and singing & stories. All these activities are structured and planned towards stimulating the child’s mind and social skills whilst encouraging the child’s feelings of security and confidence. Anyone wishing to register their child at Lots of Tots Day Nursery is welcome to arrange an appointment to view the Nursery by calling the number below. Once a viewing of the Nursery has taken place all the relevant documentation required will be completed by the child’s parent and/or carer and the Nursery Manager. Once the child is registered with the Nursery, the child’s appointed member of staff is required to sign their child in and out of the Nursery before and after every visit. The Nursery operates a complaints procedure in accordance with the requirements set out by the CIW. In the event of needing to make any complaint associated with the Nursery, could you please contact the Nursery owner, Mrs Sara Smith, who will personally deal with the matter. All complaints will be handled in a confidential and sensitive manner. Complaints will be dealt with within the following time scales: For local resolution 14 days with an additional 14 days if agreed with complainant; For formal complaints 35 days with notice of complaint and resolution sent to the CIW.
